The Corporate FP&A team at Netflix is responsible for company-wide financial planning, forecasting, and strategic analysis. We provide support to Finance leadership across the company and play a key role in helping drive decisions and enabling the business to grow optimally. Our team interacts with many parts of the company and helps connect the dots between the business and finance. We’re looking for an Associate who will support the Finance and Operations group at Netflix. A successful candidate is someone who possesses exceptional analytic and communication skills, is not afraid to be innovative, and can see the bigger picture. This position is based in our Hollywood office and will report to the Manager, FP&A, Finance & Operations. Responsibilities include building insightful and actionable management reporting packages, managing and streamlining forecasting models, performing financial scenario analysis, providing tooling and metrics to drive headcount and org planning discussions, and collaborating with stakeholders to own the headcount forecasting process.
Must have:
  • 3+ years of experience in a highly analytical environment
  • Proficient with Excel/Sheets and Powerpoint/Slides
  • Extensive experience conducting quantitative/financial analysis
  • Strong track record of identifying key questions and communicating findings
  • Experience working with financial and/or headcount related data

The Role

The Corporate FP&A team at Netflix is responsible for company-wide financial planning, forecasting, and strategic analysis. We’re looking for an Associate who will support the Finance and Operations group at Netflix. A successful candidate is someone who possesses exceptional analytic and communication skills, is not afraid to be innovative, and can see the bigger picture. This position is based in our Hollywood office and will report to the Manager, FP&A, Finance & Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Build insightful and actionable management reporting packages and summarize data for finance leadership in an efficient and effective way

  • Manage and streamline forecasting models and consolidation processes

  • Perform financial scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making

  • Provide tooling and metrics to drive headcount and org planning discussions

  • Partner with stakeholders, HR, and TA partners to own the headcount forecasting process

  • Work with FP&A and Accounting partners to improve forecast accuracy and planning process

  • Help identify and drive FP&A-wide process improvements through close collaboration with peers

  • Drive communications and alignment with local and regional FP&A teams

  • Assist with ad hoc reporting and analytical projects

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a highly analytical environment, preferably in a management consulting firm or FP&A/Strategic Finance at a large company

  • Extremely proficient with Excel/Sheets and Powerpoint/Slides

  • Extensive experience conducting quantitative/financial analysis and developing recommendations

  • A successful candidate will have a strong track record of identifying key questions; defining, performing and coordinating analyses; and communicating findings in a clear and concise way

  • Ability to connect the dots and see the bigger picture

  • Previous experience working with financial and/or headcount related data

  • Experience working with complex data sets and systems–TM1 and Anaplan knowledge a plus

  • Genuine passion and excitement for Netflix’s unique .

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $50,000-240,000.
