This role is within the EMEA Active Platform Strategy team, part of Global Product Solutions (GPS), which focuses on developing new investment strategies, responding to client needs, and creating market intelligence. As a Vice President, you will support strategic problem-solving for the EMEA active platform, framing questions, structuring analyses, and converting data into executive-ready recommendations. You will partner with various teams to define and drive the strategic direction of the active product platform, leading in-depth analysis of market trends and client behaviors.
Must Have
- Lead in-depth analysis of market trends, client behaviors, and product performance.
- Develop compelling presentations and written narratives for senior stakeholders.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define and drive strategic direction.
- Own and manage strategic projects from start to finish.
- Analyze large datasets to uncover trends.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on innovation.
- 5–7+ years in asset management, index providers, investment banking, or consultancy.
- Degree in a technical or finance discipline.
- Advanced Excel skills.

In 2024, launched Global Product Solutions (GPS) to deliver the full breadth of the firm’s investment capabilities to clients worldwide. GPS sets commercial priorities across the platform, develops next-generation products and solutions, and helps clients build better portfolios through actionable insights.
Within GPS, the EMEA Active Platform Strategy team plays a central role in shaping the future of our active product offering. We focus on:
- Developing new investment strategies and wrappers (e.g. Active ETFs)
- Responding to evolving client needs and regulatory changes
- Creating high-quality market intelligence and analytics to support decision-making

About the Role
As a Vice President, you will support strategic problem solving for the EMEA active platform — framing questions, structuring analyses, and converting data into clear, executive ready recommendations. You’ll partner with Investments, Product, Distribution, and Legal/Regulatory to set direction and mobilize execution. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Lead in-depth analysis of market trends, client behaviours, and product performance to inform strategy
- Develop compelling presentations and written narratives to communicate insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define and drive the strategic direction of our active product platform
- Own and manage strategic projects from start to finish, including timelines, stakeholder engagement, and delivery to senior stakeholders
Market Intelligence & Insights
- Analyse large datasets to uncover trends in client demand, competitor activity, and regulatory developments
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on innovation, providing leadership on product opportunities, partnering with investment teams in creation of product and capabilities
- Share insights across teams to inform product development and positioning
What We’re Looking for in a Candidate
We’re seeking an individual with a corporate strategy or product strategy background, a curious mindset, strong critical‑thinking skills and a collaborative approach. Ideal candidates will bring:
Qualifications & Technical Skills
- Degree in a technical or finance discipline (e.g., engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics)
- Advanced Excel skills (scenario modelling, Power Query/PivotTables) and strong PowerPoint capabilities (executive storytelling)
- Experience with Morningstar Direct; familiarity with Broadridge, EPFR/eVestment, and Tableau/Power BI is preferred
- Working proficiency in SQL and/or Python for data extraction, cleanup, and analysis is a plus
- CFA (completed or in progress) preferred
Professional Experience
- 5–7+ years in asset management, index providers, investment banking, or consultancy
Core Competencies
- Investment literacy: Comfort with active metrics and product mechanics — including alpha/beta, information ratio, tracking error, active share, downside capture, performance attribution; pricing/OCF/TER; share‑class design (currency/hedged); and capacity/liquidity considerations.
- Analytical impact: Ability to produce high‑quality analysis, synthesise insights into actionable product and commercial strategy, and influence senior stakeholders to drive outcomes across functions.
- Strategic mindset: Ability to critically analyse market opportunities and translate insights into product and solution design that capitalises on emerging trends.
- Passion: Genuine enthusiasm for investment management, an understanding of industry trends, and well‑developed personal perspectives.
