Depending on your experience and aptitude, you will be responsible for one of the following. This work allows you to experience the excitement of vehicle body development, from collaborating with designers to formulating specifications and performing hands-on design.
You will be responsible for designing body frame components, taking charge of specific vehicle models and parts. You will handle everything from requirement definition and specification formulation (shape, performance, cost) to parts design and simple CAE analysis. Additionally, depending on the theme, you will be involved in parts development with suppliers for glass, sunroofs, fiber materials, resins, etc.
For future next-generation EV models, you will be responsible for attractive advanced technology development, including the incorporation of new body structures and mechatronic mechanisms, and the application of new materials such as aluminum and carbon. This involves collaboration not only with internal departments but also with suppliers. Developers will also be consistently involved when advanced development themes are reflected in vehicle application development.
Nissan Motor Corporation is looking for body design engineers who will play a central role in vehicle development.
In upper body design, we are responsible for developing safe and highly rigid vehicle bodies, and in collaboration with the design department, we manage the exterior of vehicles that many customers see. By collaborating with various departments such as collision safety performance, handling stability and NVH performance, aerodynamic performance, interior/exterior design, seat belt design, and electrical design, you can acquire a wide range of knowledge in vehicle development.
As the department responsible for integrating design within development, we lead development by understanding designers' requests from the initial stages and striving to provide attractive designs to customers.
We are also focusing on advanced development, working on developing new technologies such as new materials like aluminum and carbon, and mechanical components like sunroofs, to bring them to the world.
For those aiming for global success, there are abundant opportunities for overseas assignments/business trips and communication with overseas suppliers.
We are also actively working on business automation and efficiency using AI and RPA in collaboration with overseas bases.
Under our belief, "Body design is the pillar of vehicle development!", why not aim to be an engineer who plays an active role at the forefront of vehicle development?
