Job Description

The Brand Specialist will support the development of marketing strategies and coordinate various phases of existing Brand marketing, including creative development, promotions, marketing operations, and event support for retail and digital game releases. This role focuses on supporting IP's innovative campaigns, coordinating the preparation, execution, and delivery of marketing materials, and trafficking marketing assets across cross-functional teams.

Must Have:
  • Lead and manage the development and distribution of marketing assets.
  • Review and approve creative assets for brand and campaign alignment.
  • Coordinate world-class integrated marketing campaigns by providing logistical support.
  • Plan and oversee the development of assigned marketing projects.
  • Manage and facilitate timely and clear communication within internal marketing departments.
  • Work with internal team members to develop supporting strategies and content.
  • Provide dedicated marketing asset requests and in-person event support.
  • Serve as a liaison between domestic and international teams.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on assigned titles’ projects.
  • Facilitate title and cross-functional meetings.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in the video game industry.
  • 2+ years of experience in video game marketing or entertainment product marketing.
  • Understanding of marketing fundamentals and digital marketing.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience in working across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Extremely organized and detailed-oriented.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.

The Brand Specialist will help support the development of marketing strategies and coordinate several phases of existing Brand marketing, including but not limited to creative development, promotions, marketing operations, and event support, for retail and digital game releases. This role is dedicated to supporting our IP’s innovative campaigns. They will play a crucial role in coordinating the preparation, execution, and delivery of marketing materials. Lastly, they will play a key role in trafficking marketing assets across all cross functional teams

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage the development and distribution of marketing assets to cross functional teams for assigned titles, ranging from AAA to A titles
  • Review and approve creative assets to ensure alignment with brand and campaign strategy and that they are optimized for all applicable marketing distribution channels
  • Responsible for coordinating internally and cross-functionally world-class integrated marketing campaigns by providing logistical support
  • Plan and oversee the development of assigned marketing projects: trailers, consumer & press events, creative, social & media deliverables and others as assigned
  • Manage and facilitate timely and clear communication on assigned titles amongst the internal Brand team and other internal marketing departments to ensure seamless integration and execution of global marketing campaigns
  • Work with internal team members to develop supporting strategies and content for all marketing plans
  • Provide dedicated marketing asset requests and in-person event support for assigned titles at various consumer and media shows like San Diego Comic Con, PAX, Anime Expo etc.
  • Serve as a liaison between domestic and international teams to ensure smooth communication and assigned project execution
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on assigned titles’ projects to be able to lead discussions and keep audiences informed
  • Facilitate title and cross-functional meetings as required
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree or higher with coursework in Marketing, Sales, Finance, Business or equivalent work experience in the video game industry
  • 2+ years of experience in video game marketing, entertainment product marketing, which includes an understanding of marketing fundamentals and digital marketing across various digital marketplaces
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with experience in brand creative
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite especially, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Act as the cheerleader/advocate for their applicable IPS
  • Experience in working across cross functional teams and a team-like environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to articulate ideas clearly, influence, and foster collaboration.
  • Extremely organized and detailed-oriented
  • Can efficiently and effectively prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong passion for video games and/or Japanese anime
  • 0%-15% Travel Required.

$75,316.80 – $85,000.08

Actual base salary will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, but not limited to, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees and it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
