Job Description

This is a permanent full-time Business Development Representative role based in Tokyo, Japan, following a hybrid work model. The role focuses on driving lead generation for APAC markets, qualifying inbound leads, and executing outbound campaigns for Nasdaq’s Financial Technology solutions. Responsibilities include developing relationships with Japanese Financial Institutions, building qualified pipelines, researching decision-makers, and collaborating with sales and customer success teams to identify new opportunities. The position offers an autonomous, fast-paced environment with global impact.
Must have:
  • Develop relationships with Financial Services Institutions in Japan by employing both conventional networking and targeted digital outreach strategies
  • Identify and build inbound and outbound qualified pipeline through culturally appropriate prospecting methods
  • Conduct research and analyze key decision-makers within target institutions, gaining insight into internal structures and networks of influence
  • Work collaboratively with the sales team to devise strategic, relationship-focused outbound initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Customer Success Managers to identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts
  • Leverage existing client relationships to uncover new business units, regions or entities that could benefit from Nasdaq’s solutions
  • Leverage a wide range of Sales and BDR tools
Good to have:
  • At least 1 year of work experience
  • Previous experience in prospecting within Japanese financial services or similarly relationship-driven industries
  • Experience using both traditional (industry events, formal referrals) and modern outreach techniques
  • Demonstrate an ability to understand Nasdaq’s suite of solutions in Regulatory and Capital Markets Technology

This is a permanent full-time role based in Tokyo, Japan following a hybrid work model setup (at least 3 in office days per week).

The Business Development team is responsible for driving lead generation for the wider sales function in the APAC markets. As a Business Development Representative, you will assist in generating new business opportunities by qualifying inbound leads and driving various outbound campaigns to build pipeline for the APAC business. This role will focus on Nasdaq’s Financial Technology solutions, and we are looking for candidates with a genuine passion and drive to deliver top technology solutions to today's markets.

What You Will Do

What We Expect

  • Understanding of Japanese Financial Institutions OR a strong understanding Nasdaq’s Financial Technology suite.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals
  • Curious and constantly seeking to learn something new
  • Native proficiency in Japanese, with strong English communication skills

What Would Be Helpful
