The Business Development Representative will be the first point of contact for inbound prospects, qualifying leads, and identifying opportunities aligned with the ideal customer profile. The role involves supporting Business Development Managers in closing deals and gradually handling own accounts. Responsibilities include qualifying sales leads, identifying high-quality opportunities, proactively reaching out to prospects, managing the end-to-end sales cycle for a small subset of customers, closing new business, engaging customers through campaigns, and collaborating with other departments. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, motivated, proactive, and passionate about the gaming industry.
Must have:

  • Identify high-quality opportunities and book meetings.
  • Flawless English (written and spoken).
  • Have the right to work in the Netherlands.

About the role:

We're looking for a passionate Business Development Representative to join our Commercial Team in Amsterdam. This entry-level role is key to Newzoo’s go-to-market strategy and a launchpad for a commercial career with us.


You'll be the first point of contact for inbound prospects, qualifying leads, and identifying opportunities that align with our ideal customer profile. You'll support Business Development Managers in closing deals and gradually start handling your own accounts. You'll also contribute to improving our sales operations and processes to boost efficiency.


We're seeking someone entrepreneurial, motivated, proactive, and passionate about the gaming industry.


Your responsibilities:

  • Qualify Newzoo’s inbound sales leads from our website, platform, and email.
  • Identify high-quality opportunities by understanding prospects’ goals and needs, and book meetings for our senior business development team.
  • Identify high-quality prospects and proactively reach out to those that fit our ideal customer profile.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales cycle for a small subset of Newzoo’s target customers.
  • Close new business and renew existing client agreements for Newzoo's Small Business tier.
  • Engage customers through interactive campaigns and messaging to increase adoption, engagement, and retention.
  • Work as a team player and liaise with other departments to share feedback to enhance customer satisfaction and improve processes.
  • Become an expert on Newzoo’s product offerings and platform, as well as our industry and clients.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the games market, specifically PC and Console.



Your profile:

  • MSc degree in Business Administration, Economics, Market Research, or similar.
  • 1-2 years of sales experience (experience in media and entertainment is a plus);
  • Ambitious for a career in sales, driven by goals and personal development.
  • Flawless English (written and spoken).
  • Have the right to work in the Netherlands.
  • A passion for the games market and its biggest trends.
