The Political Advocacy and Government team at TelevisaUnivision is looking for a Manager, Political Strategy and Business Operations to join our team!
The Manager, Political Strategy and Business Operations will provide full administrative and project support from beginning to end in support of PAG Ad Sales Team. This includes full sales support of PAG team and VPs, lead initial set up of service level agreements, new vendor onboarding, timelines, payment status and full-scale processing of invoices and payment. As the PAG point person for all political business operations, its is your responsibility to oversee the strategy of financial reporting, compliance workflows, pricing operations, and implement regulatory requirements across operations.
This role requires someone who will take full ownership of the role and can quickly build relationships and partner with the sales team and management to ensure communication and coordination among internal team members as well as external vendors. They will serve as a point for all competitive reporting and oversee PAG Coordinator to help facilitate competitive reporting.
YOUR DAY-DAY:
- Oversee the operations of FCC Compliance, in collaboration with TelevisaUnivision Legal department, the FCC Coordinator, Traffic, and local stations.
- Oversee Political cash-in-advance (CIA) processes and reconciliation of linear and digital business while working with TelevisaUnivision’s Billing, Collections & Cash Applications departments and overseeing the PAG Pricing & Financial Analyst
- Vendor/consultant invoicing & payments, maintain spending under approved T&E budgets, and ensure accurate GL coding is assigned.
- Provide Excel spreadsheets and analyze vendor/spending data in a monthly tracker
- Ensure payments are made in accordance to payment terms/agreements to ensure contract compliance
- Provide structure and analysis of political forecasting and budgeting for competitive cycles.
- Track political sales performance through Pacing reports and assist VP with all financial reporting
- Manage Marketing Coordinator and ensure political sales team has available tools, market research and relevant data for key client meetings.
- Lead strategic operations projects between PAG stakeholders to accelerate political revenue.
- Collaborate with PAG VP and Consultants on Go-to-Market Strategy and manage project deliverables.
- General administrative assistance and ad hoc analysis or information request by PAG teams, including coordination of billing of other income for certain clients. Provide additional follow-up as needed to support related to customer billing.
YOU HAVE:
- Preferred industry experience in politics, linear/digital media advertising sales, a/o finance
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) competency preferred
- 4-year College degree required
- 3 years practical work experience in accounting and business administration
- Energetic self-starter with excellent written and oral communication skills to interact with internal clients including senior level executives
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Familiarity with publisher trafficking/OMS systems (Wide Orbit, Operative, Oracle)
- Must be able to manage, multi-task, prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
