Morningstar is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to help advance our India HR function. In this role, located in Mumbai, you will understand employee needs, design programs to assist in building a high performing organization and work closely with leadership team to enhance employee engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Understand needs and team dynamics, based on which to adjust focus areas and drive initiatives.
- Provide advice and support on budget & workforce planning for the respective team
- Collaborate with HR functional teams to facilitate key HR processes and communication to respective business team - eg compensation process, performance process, talent review, etc. and provide coaching and training wherever needed
- Provide insight and suggestions to HR functional teams for continuous improvement.
- Work with leadership team to build high performing team and foster positive organization climate by contributing to areas of talent development, leadership development, internal communication, organizational design and employee engagement
- Ensure legal compliance of HR practices and managing employee relation issues
- Design & deliver HR dashboard and analysis to provide transparency on operations, surfacing issues and support decision making.
- Any other HR project assigned as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in behavioral science (OD, HR Management, and Psychology) or MBA with appropriate experience preferred
- 6 to 8 years’ experience in a generalist HR role out of which at least 2 years in handling employee issues / HR business partner role
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to plan, design and implement employee initiatives for employee engagement
- Ability to collaborate across teams and work with leaders to get their buy-in on various employee initiatives
- Strong facilitation, presentation and planning skill
- Ability to influence and collaborate cross-culturally with diverse individuals and teams.
- Mature, passion for dealing with people and a great team player
- Ability to work through ambiguity and complexity to provide simple, expedient and practical solutions
