Description
We are seeking a dynamic, self-driven Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join our team at Roche and play a pivotal role in optimizing and automating the orchestration of our end-to-end digital content marketing lifecycle. This individual will act as the critical bridge between our senior marketing, data and digital stakeholders and our technical development teams.
The primary focus of this role is to function as BSA to leverage Adobe Workfront for content workflow orchestration. The ideal candidate is an expert in identifying business needs, eliciting complex requirements, and translating them into actionable Epics and User Stories. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of feature development, from initial concept through requirements, testing, UAT, and production deployment, ensuring our technology solutions drive efficiency and compliance for our marketing organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Elicitation:
- Partner with senior Marketing leaders, Digital strategists, and Data experts as well as Content Suite Architect to deeply understand business challenges and opportunities within the content creation, review, and distribution lifecycle.
- Lead discovery sessions, interviews, and process mapping workshops to elicit, document, and validate business requirements.
- Proactively manage stakeholder expectations, providing clear communication on project status, timelines, and potential risks.
2. Solution Analysis & Documentation:
- Translate high-level business needs into detailed functional specifications, technical requirements, process flows, and data mapping documents.
- Author, refine, and maintain a clear, organized backlog of Epics, User Stories, and precise acceptance criteria in our Agile management tool (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
- Serve as the primary requirements expert for the development team, clarifying ambiguity, resolving questions, and guiding the technical solution to meet business needs.
3. Adobe Workfront Expertise & Configuration:
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Adobe Workfront, designing and optimizing complex content workflows, designing for Content Planning, custom forms, project templates, proofing processes, and reporting dashboards.
- Analyze and recommend Workfront configurations and enhancements to improve user experience, automate manual tasks, and enforce business governance.
4. Quality Assurance & User Acceptance:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure new features are high-quality, defect-free, and meet all documented requirements.
- Lead, coordinate, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business partners, providing guidance, tracking all feedback, and managing the defect resolution process.
5. Implementation, Training & Support:
- Collaborate with the Program Manager to provide status and raise issues and risks, collaborate with Content Suite Architect to ensure sufficient level of detail is provided in all documentation, report to the Technical Product Owner to help keep leadership alignment.
- Collaborate with Adobe Workfront development team consisting of senior Developers, leads and Functional specialists, to plan release schedules and manage the deployment of deliverables into the production environment.
- Assist in the development of training materials and system documentation.
- Support end-user training sessions and provide post-production support to triage issues and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5-7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, with a proven track record of supporting large-scale enterprise applications.
- Essential: 3+ years of hands-on, in-depth experience with Adobe Workfront, including complex workflow design, custom form building, system configuration, and reporting.
- Significant experience in the digital marketing and content lifecycle (e.g., creative ideation, content creation, review/approval, digital asset management, and distribution).
- Demonstrable expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies, including writing clear, concise, and testable Epics and User Stories.
- Strong understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Proven experience in developing test plans, leading UAT sessions, and managing defect tracking.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently and build consensus with senior-level stakeholders.
- A self-driven, highly organized, and results-oriented individual who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)
- Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Assets or other enterprise-scale Digital Asset Management (DAM) platforms.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud applications and their integration with marketing workflow tools.
- Experience working in the pharmaceutical or another highly regulated industry (e.g., finance, healthcare).
- Understanding of pharmaceutical marketing (MLR) review and approval processes.
- Agile or Scrum certifications (e.g., CSPO, CSM).
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.

Physical Demands
This position requires the frequent and repetitive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Hand and finger dexterity is required.
