The Business Systems Analyst utilizes programming and internal/purchased tools (Salesforce, Power BI, SQL, and others) to streamline operational workflows throughout the organization. They evaluate, purchase, implement, and administer many tools and play an important role in the training of new users and creation of best practices. They manage and enrich Salesforce.com data and develop automated processes to keep data clean. Through reporting in Salesforce, SQL, and Power BI, they make this data actionable to business leaders.
They are responsible for leading the planning and implementation of strategic initiatives, business processes, tool enhancements, and integrations. This includes facilitating the definition of project scope, goals, deliverables, project plans, tasks, and resource requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Holds at least one current Salesforce certification (for Salesforce-specific roles)
- Trusted to deliver accurate, timely, and thorough responses to routine and non-standard inquiries in both written and verbal communications. Audience is typically team lead-level or below but may at times involve SLT.
- Has the ability to take an assignment, project, or problem and define, lead, and implement a solution to completion, all while delivering Frequent Formal Follow-up
- Proactively finds improvement areas and does not need daily supervision
- Can help organize a group, coordinate projects, and formally resolve and close out issues
- Has led initiatives of any size to improve tech stack or internal processes
- Makes recommendations for new tools and procedures
- Is sought out by other members of the firm as an expert in their domain
- Has successfully managed a cross-departmental project for three months or more
- Regularly self-evaluates performance and makes improvements where needed
- Proven track record of successfully building, designing, and rolling out a complex project involving two or more departments
