CAD Study Pilot Chassis Machines M/F

Segula Technologies, a global engineering group, is seeking a Mechanical Study Pilot for chassis machines in the energy sector, focusing on hydrogen electricity production systems. The role involves defining design principles, costing, 3D modeling of chassis and components, structural dimensioning, managing technical exchanges with suppliers, 2D part drafting, and contributing to validation reviews. Candidates should have significant experience in mechanical design, particularly with welded chassis and sheet metal, and be proficient in Catia V5/V6 and 2D drafting.

Must Have

• Define design principles to achieve a cost objective
• Cost design activity
• 3D modeling of chassis, supports, fairings, and complete assembly
• Prepare Definition Justification Document (structural dimensioning, dimension chain, manufacturability, environmental resistance)
• Pilot and report on technical exchanges with suppliers
• 2D drafting of parts
• Organize and report on model and plan reviews before launch
• Contribute to validation reviews of prototype/first series parts
• Significant experience (> 8 years) in mechanical design (boilermaking-sheet metal work)
• Experience in designing welded chassis and folded/screwed sheet metal
• Proficiency in Catia V5/V6
• Proficiency in 2D drafting
• Proficiency in ISO Dimensioning / Dimension Chains
• Knowledge of treatments, paints, and protections for steel and aluminum parts
• Good written and spoken English (international suppliers)
• Autonomous with good analytical skills

Job Description

As part of the development of our activity in the energy sector, we are looking for a Mechanical Study Pilot who will work on the scope of the machine chassis and integration of components of an electricity production system, implementing hydrogen.

Your missions:

• Define design principles to achieve a cost objective
• Costing of the design activity
• 3D of the chassis, supports, fairings and the complete assembly, with the support of the teams
• Definition Justification Document: Structural dimensioning, dimension chain, consolidation of manufacturability, resistance to environments
• Piloting and reporting on technical exchanges with our suppliers in collaboration with our purchasing department
• 2D of parts, with the support of a designer-drafter
• Organization and reporting of model and plan reviews before launch with dedicated teams
• Contribution to validation reviews of prototype/first series parts

Qualifications

With a BAC +2, BTS or DUT degree, you have significant experience in mechanical design in boilermaking-sheet metal work, in the design of welded chassis and folded/screwed sheet metal (> 8 years) in the special machinery sector.

You have a good command of:

• Catia V5/V6.
• 2D drafting.
• ISO Dimensioning / Dimension Chains.
• Treatments, paints and protections for steel and aluminum parts.
• Written/spoken English (international suppliers).

You are autonomous and have good analytical skills. Expertise in chassis and component integration for a hydrogen-based electricity production system will be appreciated.
