Character Concept Artist

Lakshya Digital, a leading game art and animation studio, is seeking a Character Concept Artist. This role involves creating and developing visual concepts for diverse characters and creatures, ensuring they are unique, memorable, and align with the game's world and narrative. The artist will contribute to AAA titles, leveraging strong design skills and an understanding of 3D production pipelines.

Must Have

• Ability to develop character designs within the game's style
• Strong anatomy understanding
• Understanding of fashion/armor in historic and fictional settings
• Strength in facial expressions and personality
• Ability to do orthographic views and detail/material breakdowns for 3D modelers
• Understanding of 3D production to facilitate concept detail
• 3-4 years of relevant experience
• Strong communication skills
• Professional and friendly conduct, team player
• Ability to create, track, and maintain realistic daily goals
• Works regularly at updating own skills

Lakshya is looking for a Character Concept Artist who can Create and develop visual concepts for characters and creatures. Design unique & Memorable Characters that fit within the game's world & Story.

Requirements

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Overall ability to develop character designs within the style of the game's direction, ranging from realism to heavily stylized
• Strong anatomy understanding
• Understanding of fashion/armor in both historic and fictional settings
• Strength in facial expressions and personality
• Ability to do orthographic views and detail/material breakdowns for 3D modelers.
• Understanding of 3D production to facilitate concept detail and ability for the 3D team to produce easily
• Creature design is a nice to have
• Knowledge of Game Art production pipeline will also be nice to have
• 3-4 years of relevant experience
