C&M Designer Colour & Trim

This role involves creating and developing industry-leading Color & Trim (C&M) designs for passenger vehicles, ensuring they meet product definitions, timing, and cost targets. The designer will work with partners to deliver best-in-class visualizations, translate consumer research into compelling C&M design themes, and provide strategic C&M designs relevant to customers. Responsibilities also include coordinating property for C&M designs, supporting senior management reviews, maintaining trend awareness, and fostering a creative studio environment.

Must Have

• Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive exterior or interior design.
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or a related field.

Job description

Creative Color & Trim Designer Passenger Vehicles

Creating and developing industry leading C&M designs that meet the product definition, timing and cost targets

Work with design partners to deliver best in class visualizations

Translate consumer research imagery (developed through the co-creation process) into compelling C&M design theme proposals.

Deliver C&M Design strategy and bandwidth

Work closely with the Interior / Exterior design team to provide C&M designs that that are relevant to our customer and gives vehicles a competitive advantage vs competition.

Coordination & ownership of property built to represent C&M designs

Support of senior management reviews with 2/3D C&M proposals and properties

Maintain a broad Trend-Awareness (Socio-economic / Technology / Interior / C&M design) and communicate this through daily work and design reviews

Be a proactive member of the Design studio, helping to foster a professional and creative studio environment that delivers design excellence

Expert ability to deliver high quality C&M imagery and 3D samples that translate consumer feedback into `futured design proposals

Ability to deliver multiple programs from sketch to final product

Experience of working with outside suppliers to deliver creative design ideas with production Processes

Experience Required:

Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive exterior or interior design

Education Required:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or a related field
