Job Description

As a Consolidations Manager, your main responsibilities will include managing the consolidation process for the organization, shaping standards and processes, and overseeing the monthly consolidation of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) for SEC filings. This role also involves intercompany imbalance and reserve analysis, plus preparing, reviewing, and approving journal entries related to consolidation.
Must have:
  • Review monthly consolidation of the financial statements, including journal entries, Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement as well as provide analysis feedback.
  • Review and present the consolidated quarterly financial statement presentations to upper management and external auditors.
  • On a quarterly basis, review the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement and related analyses as input for SEC quarterly/annual reports (10Q and 10K).
  • Support external audit and review procedures.
  • Assist in SOX compliance documentation and testing as required.
  • Plan, develop, and execute special projects as appropriate.
  • Manage and develop direct reports.

As a Consolidations Manager, your main responsibilities will include the managing the consolidation process for the organization, the candidate in this role will be part of a team that will be able to shape the standards and processes. The Consolidations Manager will also be responsible for leading and overseeing the monthly consolidation of the income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement and related analyses including supporting schedules for the respective quarterly and annual SEC filings. This role also includes the responsibility of intercompany imbalance and other various reserve analysis. Finally, the role entails preparation, review and approval of journal entries for specific transactions that occur each month related to the consolidation process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review monthly consolidation of the financial statements, including journal entries, Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement as well as provide analysis feedback.
  • Review and present the consolidated quarterly financial statement presentations to upper management and external auditors.
  • On a quarterly basis, review the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow
  • Statement and related analyses as input for SEC quarterly/annual reports (10Q and 10K).
  • Support external audit and review procedures.
  • Assist in SOX compliance documentation and testing as required.

YOUR BACKGROUND

  • Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:
  • 7-10 years of accounting experience ideally including both public accounting and corporate experience
  • CPA license or equivalent
  • Bachelor degree in accounting or finance
  • Broad knowledge of US GAAP and experience in project management. He/she will have demonstrated ability to prepare and review journal entries and research accounting issues.
  • The individual should have the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization including senior leadership as well as external
  • auditors.
  • The manager should have the ability to understand the business implications of the consolidation process.
