Job Summary
This role is responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting on federal, state, and local government legislation and regulations impacting the company's business interests in Mexico, Central America, and Brazil. The analyst will support government affairs initiatives, including advocacy efforts and outreach to policymakers, and will work with the Senior Director to provide strategic guidance, identify grants, and prepare policy materials.
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in political science, international relations, law, or a related field.
- Fluency in English and Spanish for business, both written and spoken, is required.
- 3–5 years of professional experience.
- Strong knowledge of the political and regulatory environment in the Americas, including key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Monitoring and analyzing legislative and regulatory developments in the Americas region.
- Providing strategic guidance and support to the organization.
- Identifying opportunities for grants and incentives.
- Preparing written materials such as policy briefs, talking points, and position papers.
Good to Have
- Experience of at least 2 years in government, congress, government affairs, or public policy, preferably in the Americas region.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key government officials, industry associations, and other stakeholders.
- Representing the company at external meetings and events.

Job Description
This role will be responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting on federal, state, and local government legislation and regulations that may impact the company's business interests in Mexico, Central America, and Brazil. The analyst will also provide support for government affairs initiatives, including advocacy efforts and outreach to policymakers. The successful candidate will be a member of the regional team and will report to the Senior Director of Government Affairs Americas.
My Role:
- The Government Affairs Analyst is responsible for monitoring and analyzing legislative and regulatory developments in the Americas region.
- Will work with the Senior Director of Government Affairs Americas to provide strategic guidance and support to the organization, and to identify opportunities for grants and incentives.
- Will be responsible for preparing written materials such as policy briefs, talking points, and position papers to support the company's advocacy efforts.
- The Analyst could help to develop and maintain relationships with key government officials, industry associations, and other stakeholders, in specific situations as needed.
- The Analyst could represent the company at external meetings and events, in specific situations as needed.
- Will collaborate with other teams across the organization to ensure alignment of advocacy efforts with business priorities.
- They will perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Government Affairs Americas.
My Background:
- Bachelor's degree in political science, international relations, law, or a related field.
