Job Description

This position is for a Quality Analyst based in Pune, working within Springer Nature’s global team, collaborating with developers across Germany, the Netherlands, and India. The role requires strong expertise in scalable test automation frameworks, Agile methodologies, and manual testing fundamentals. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Java, TestNG, and experienced in UI, API, and end-to-end testing. Responsibilities include planning and leading QA strategy, contributing to the delivery process, applying critical thinking to product insights, and facilitating team activities.
Must have:
  • 8+ Years of experience
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Lean/Kanban methodologies
  • Expertise in scalable test automation frameworks
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java
  • Experience in developing test automation frameworks using TestNG
  • Experience in UI, API, and end-to-end testing
  • Familiarity with CI/CD environments (Jenkins, Go, GitHub, Docker)
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, New Relic, Kibana
  • Proficiency in API testing using Postman, Insomnia
  • Ability to incorporate non-functional requirements using tools like Sync, SpeedCurve, Gatling, Pa11y
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases and messaging systems
  • Ability to optimize CI/CD pipelines for faster releases
  • Plan, lead, and communicate QA strategy effectively
  • Contribute across the delivery process in a cross-functional team
  • Apply critical thinking to UX research, BA findings, and product insights
  • Understand and adapt to Agile/Lean/Kanban methodologies
  • Facilitate team activities like story kickoffs, bug bashes, retrospectives, and tech reviews
  • Identify gaps and improvements through exploratory testing
  • Engage with users to bring a broader perspective to product development
  • Focus on defect prevention and retrospection for continuous improvement
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute meaningfully
  • Work in a hybrid model: Twice a week in-office work required

About the Role
