Job Description

The Content Strategist will be responsible for developing promotional copy for offers and new products in a fast-paced retail environment. They will create and maintain copy documents, collaborate with designers to develop web pages, and partner with other teams to ensure creative supports marketing objectives. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple projects, and the skill to present work and justify the rationale behind it. The ideal candidate will have experience in SEO, Consumer Product Goods, eCommerce, and/or tech, with a preference for B2B experience. This position requires a strong portfolio and mastery of storytelling to convert customers and support sales goals. Responsibilities include developing copy, collaborating with designers, and managing multiple projects within the given parameters.
Good To Have:

  • B2B experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in proofreading.
  • Video script writing and UX experience.
Must Have:
  • 5+ years of writing/copy editing experience.

Content Strategist Work Location – Atlanta, GA 30303 or Dallas, TX 75202 Positions Requested – 1 Hours per Day - 8 Hours per Week - 40 Total Hours – 3-year contract Project - Content Strategist Minimum of 3 days per week in office. Hours: 8-hour days, typically 9-5:30 w/a half hour lunch with some room for flexibility TOP SKILLS REQUIRED 5+ years’ experience writing and / or copy editing at an advertising agency or in-house agency Strong digital portfolio including web pages, websites / microsites, and product descriptions Ability to present work and rationalize the thinking behind it Able to juggle multiple projects and partner with designers, producers, and strategists to ensure creative supports marketing objectives SEO, Consumer Product Goods, eCommerce and/or tech experience a huge plus B2B experience a huge plus Responsibilities and Day-to-Day View Develop promotional copy for offers and new products in a fast-paced retail environment Create and maintain copy documents to share with design and content implementation teams Attention to detail and accuracy and an ability to work within process Collaborate with designers to develop web pages that drive a narrative, sell products and highlight offers. Partner with designers, producers, and strategists to ensure creative supports marketing objectives Ability to present work and rationalize the thinking behind it Able to juggle multiple projects Required Qualifications A degree in Marketing, English, or Creative Writing 5+ years’ experience writing and / or copy editing at an advertising agency or in-house agency Strong digital portfolio including web pages, websites / microsites, and product descriptions preferably with B2B experience Mastery of storytelling with the intent to convert customers and support sales goals SEO, Consumer Product Goods, eCommerce and/or tech experience a huge plus Development of response driven marketing experience preferred Preferred Qualifications Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency in proofreading Video script writing and UX experience a plus Pay Range: $35 - $40/hr W2 The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
