To strengthen our crew, we are looking for a Manager Digital Publishing Processes/Digital Asset Management (m/f/d) who will centrally be responsible for our DAM and act as a bridge between production, program, marketing, sales, and IT.
Your Tasks
- DAM & Content-Lifecycle Ownership: Steering, administration, and further development of the DAM (structures, roles, rights, workflows, metadata, taxonomies). Introduction of governance & best practices.
- Interfaces to Publishing Software (Pondus)/ERP/Web: Setup and maintenance of integrations between DAM Biblio (Virtusales), CMS/Shop, ERP, and publishing software; automation of data flows (API, XML/CSV, REST).
- Production-related Processes: Handover & versioning of assets from prepress (covers, 4c images, internal illustrations, reading samples, audio samples); print and e-book releases (e.g., PDF/X, color profiles), asset quality & completeness.
- Digitalization of Business Processes: Collaboration on cross-departmental digitalization projects (e.g., workflow optimization, process automation, mapping of production-specific processes in ERP); advising departments on the introduction and use of digital tools.
- Training and support for internal teams for optimal system utilization.
Your Know-How is Required
- 3–5+ years of experience in DAM/PIM or related roles (Content Operations, Application Management, Media-Workflows), ideally in publishing/media.
- Practical experience with a common DAM (e.g., Celum, Bynder, AEM Assets, Canto, Brandfolder): Optimally familiar with publishing software Biblio (Virtusales) or comparable systems; understanding of title, rights, production, and metadata processes.
- Good understanding of prepress (InDesign-based workflows, image editing, color spaces, PDF/X), as well as e-book/audio asset chains (EPUB3, audio samples).
- Interface knowledge (APIs, XML/CSV, ONIX 3.0), basic knowledge of data modeling & taxonomy.
- Strong communication skills, structured, service-oriented; experience in stakeholder management and interdisciplinary projects.
- Experience in using AI/KI.
- Good German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
