Job Description

This role supports PayPal’s Strategy, Channels & Events team, contributing to a diverse range of projects spanning executive communications, operations, reporting and measurement, strategic partnerships, and event strategy. The intern will report directly to the Head of Strategic Partnerships & Corporate Affairs Strategy, collaborating across the broader Corporate Affairs organization to help deliver on key initiatives that advance PayPal’s narrative, partnerships, and global engagement efforts.
Good To Have:
  • Prior internship or project experience in strategic communications, corporate affairs, strategy, operations, or partnerships.
  • Familiarity with measurement frameworks (e.g., PR metrics, campaign KPIs).
  • Understanding of fintech, digital payments, regulatory environments, or related industries.
  • Experience in design or visualization tools (e.g., Figma, Photoshop, Canva).
Must Have:
  • Assist in planning and executing global events and strategic partnerships.
  • Support speaker logistics, research, and briefing materials.
  • Develop and refine executive narratives and speaking points.
  • Conduct research on industry trends for messaging.
  • Create dashboards and reports for engagement impact.
  • Track speaking opportunities, media mentions, and audience outcomes.
  • Contribute to Strategy, Channels & Events deliverables.
  • Assist in project management of cross-functional initiatives.
  • Support presentation design, briefings, and workflow coordination.
  • Assist in operational planning and team logistics.
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to synthesize complex ideas concisely.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent analytical skills and comfort with data/metrics.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Must be returning to school in Fall 2026.
  • Must reside in the U.S. during the internship.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for the summer.

External Engagement Support

  • Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of PayPal’s participation in major global events and strategic partnership engagements (e.g., Fortune events, Money20/20, Web Summit, The World Economic Forum, Cannes Lions, SXSW).
  • Support speaker logistics, research, briefing materials, and post-event reporting.

Executive Thought Leadership

  • Partner with executive communications leads to help develop and refine executive narratives, speaking points, and visual content that align with PayPal’s strategic priorities and brand voice.
  • Conduct research on industry trends and topics relevant to upcoming engagements to inform messaging and recommendations.

Measurement & Insights

  • Support the creation of dashboards and reports to evaluate engagement impact across events and campaigns.
  • Track speaking opportunities, media mentions, and audience outcomes tied to key conferences and partnerships.

Project Coordination & Teamwide Support

  • Contribute to deliverables across the Strategy, Channels & Events portfolio, including executive communications, strategic planning, partnership operations, and event logistics.
  • Assist in project management and coordination of cross-functional initiatives tied to Corporate Affairs strategy and operations.
  • Support presentation design, briefings, workflow coordination, and project documentation for senior leadership.
  • Assist in operational planning, scheduling, and team logistics to help drive efficient execution of priorities.

Basic Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program (e.g., communications, public policy, international affairs, business, marketing, or related field).
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to synthesize complex ideas into clear, concise messaging.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical instincts and comfort working with data, metrics, and performance dashboards.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; able to engage with senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel) and ability to learn new tools quickly.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)

  • Prior internship or project experience in strategic communications, corporate affairs, strategy, operations, or partnerships.
  • Familiarity with measurement frameworks (e.g., PR metrics, campaign KPIs).
  • Understanding of fintech, digital payments, regulatory environments, or related industries.
  • Experience in design or visualization tools (e.g., Figma, Photoshop, Canva) is a plus.

Internship Program Information and Requirements:

  • This is a Summer 2026 Internship program. Spring and Fall 2026 internships are not available.
  • Must currently be pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Must be returning to school in the Fall of 2026.
  • Must reside in the U.S. during the Summer internship program.
  • Must be able to obtain authorization to work in the U.S. for the summer.
