Job Summary
Base Power is seeking a Corporate Development professional to build out its corporate development capabilities within a lean business operations team. This role involves building market presence, engaging with industry peers and advisors, sourcing and evaluating partnership and M&A opportunities to accelerate growth, and representing Base Power externally. The individual will be crucial in shaping and developing high-level corporate strategies for the company's energy infrastructure platform.
Must Have
- Source, evaluate, and execute new business opportunities via partnership, M&A, or other means.
- Establish and maintain relationships with bankers and others in our space to increase Base’s visibility into relevant market developments.
- Research and engage with peers in our space and adjacent spaces to build our “house view” on potential partners, M&A targets, and opportunities for Base to build.
- Collaborate with Base CEO and leadership team on capital allocation decisions.
- Experience in investment banking, investing, consulting, corporate venture, or related roles.
- Expert knowledge of corporate strategy fundamentals.
- Detailed understanding of energy infrastructure markets, or an ability to quickly build that network and understanding.
- Valuation modeling skills and experience to evaluate new business opportunities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Work full-time in the office (in-person only).

About the Role
We are looking for someone to build out our corporate development capabilities. The business operations team at Base is very lean, and this role will be one of its main pillars. You’ll be tasked with building and maintaining our market presence and intelligence by engaging with peers and advisors in our space, sourcing and evaluating partnership and M&A opportunities to accelerate our growth, and serving as the external representative of Base Power in external settings.
We are building the defining platform business of the current energy infrastructure build-out. You’ll be at the heart of the action by shaping and developing our highest-level corporate strategies to achieve that.
