Job Description

Guardian helps 29 million customers with insurance and financial products. This role is part of building a Data Management Center of Excellence to improve data quality, accessibility, and protection. The Customer Data Analyst ensures accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data, implementing data quality standards, policies, and procedures, and conducting audits. The role involves identifying data quality issues and driving continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with business stakeholders.
Must Have:

This team will focus on building an enterprise program to improve the quality, accessibility, and protection of the data supporting Guardian’s critical business and analytics processes.

The Customer Data Analyst is a critical role responsible for helping business and corporate functions ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data supporting their business processes. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing data quality standards, policies, and procedures, as well as conducting data quality audits and assessments. You will work closely with business stakeholders to identify data quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, quality assurance, and process improvement in the insurance industry. You Will:

  • Enforce data quality standards, policies, training, and procedures that adhere to industry benchmarks and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with collaborators to set data quality metrics and maintain data quality throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Define and manage data quality improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis and remediation planning.
  • Provide protocols and support to business collaborators concerning data quality standards and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on data quality metrics to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and risks.
  • Work closely with IT teams to deploy tools and technologies for improving data quality, and ensure the integration of data quality standards throughout the development phase.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Data Science, Mathematics, or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 3 + years of proven experience in data quality management, data governance, or related field.
  • SQL, Python for querying and analysis
  • Strong understanding of data quality principles, including data profiling, data cleansing, and data validation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Demonstrates strong project management skills, balancing multiple projects efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and collaborator management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with business and technical teams.
  • Experience working with data quality tools and technologies, such as data profiling tools, data cleansing tools, and data quality dashboards.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.

Location & Travel:

New York, NY; Bethlehem, PA; 3 day onsite Hybrid with some work from home flexibility.

Salary Range:

$93,080.00 - $152,915.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
