Must have:
  • Analyze cyber attack trends and patterns, manage configuration and optimization of monitoring tools, coordinate and supervise team activities for early incident detection.
  • Evaluate monitoring tools to define, design, update, test, and implement detection models for security events and threats, ensuring continuous effectiveness and maturity of the security monitoring process.
  • Generate and distribute detailed reports on security status and identified events, creating metrics for operational evaluation and maturity, and compliance reports for audits.
  • Assign tasks and resources to monitoring team members based on threat severity and risk prioritization.
  • Support coordination with other teams to investigate and resolve ongoing incidents.
  • Develop, document, and maintain monitoring operation and incident handling procedures.
  • Actively evaluate monitoring team members for their constant technical and personal development, definition of career plans, and achievement of objectives.
  • Actively participate with the SOC monitoring and response coordinator in proposals for improving the security monitoring strategy.

The IT area is responsible for managing the security monitoring function, by planning, supervising, coordinating, and maturing the team's activities, ensuring that the organization's systems are continuously monitored for early threat detection, minimizing risks to the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of corporate information, as well as promoting a security culture among employees.

About you:

Efficiently manage available resources to guarantee a continuous and quality security monitoring service over the organization's technological infrastructure, and complying with the monitoring team's operating procedures.

Your day-to-day:

  • Analyze trends and patterns of cyber attacks, manage the configuration and optimization of monitoring tools, coordinate and supervise the activities of monitoring team members, to ensure early incident detection.
  • Evaluate monitoring tools, in order to define, design, update, test, and implement detection models for security events and threats, maintaining effectiveness and continuously maturing the security monitoring process.
  • Generate and distribute detailed reports on the security status and events identified during monitoring, in order to generate metrics that allow the evaluation of the operation and its maturity; as well as compliance reports for audit controls and others.
  • Assign tasks and resources to monitoring team members according to the severity of threats and prioritization based on risk.
  • Support coordination with other teams to investigate and resolve ongoing incidents.
  • Develop, document, and maintain monitoring operation and incident handling procedures.
  • Actively evaluate monitoring team members for their constant technical and personal development, definition of career plans, and achievement of objectives.
  • Actively participate with the security monitoring and response (SOC) coordinator in proposals for improving the security monitoring strategy.

You must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or similar.
  • Advanced English
  • Team management, information security, security monitoring, incident response, network security, operating system security, database security, secure programming, cloud security tools.
  • 3 years of experience
  • Analytical thinking, high analytical capacity, crisis management, decision making, resilience, empathetic leadership, teamwork, proactivity, effective oral communication, goal-oriented.
