Job Description

Kaizen Gaming is seeking a Data Analyst for their newly formed Data Self Service (DSS) department. This role involves cultivating relationships with business stakeholders, understanding their needs, analyzing KPIs, designing data analytics, ensuring data integrity, and communicating data-driven recommendations. The analyst will act as a Subject Matter Expert, collaborate with the Data tribe, and advocate for a data-driven culture within the organization.
Good To Have:
  • Relevant experience with Microsoft Power BI (or other dashboarding tool, such as Tableau)
  • Experience in Data Manipulation and Data Analysis using Python
  • Experience with Python (especially within the context of data analysis and automation using libraries such as Pandas and NumPy)
  • Familiarity with Genie or other LLM-based data exploration tools
  • Previous experience in a self-service analytics or support-oriented data team
  • Knowledge of data cataloging, version control for analytics code, and analytics best practices
  • Understanding of stakeholder support and enablement methodologies (e.g., training delivery, FAQ creation, playbooks)
Must Have:
  • Cultivate strong relationships with the assigned function to understand its needs and objectives
  • Develop an excellent understanding of the tools used by the function, identifying opportunities for insights
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and assess actual results against targets
  • Continuously challenge and refine existing KPIs, collaborating with the BI team to develop new, impactful metrics
  • Design and develop end-to-end data analytics, visualizing past trends and evaluating key metrics
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data used in analysis and reporting
  • Communicate insights and data-driven recommendations to stakeholders to support informed decision-making
  • Align and prioritize data projects and solutions with both the function and the Core BI team
  • Proactively provide data analytics and insights to the function, acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with minimum oversight/guidance
  • Collaborate with the rest of the Data tribe to ensure alignment in data visualization, analysis and optimize the flow of information across teams
  • Advocate for a data-driven culture, promoting the value of data across the organization
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Operations Research)
  • At least 2 years experience in a reporting, statistical or quantitative role
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Highly advanced with MS-Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) and G Suite experience
  • Strong analytical mindset
  • Exceptional data storytelling skills and the ability to articulate technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Experience managing stakeholders at various levels
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and identify opportunities with limited oversight
  • Fluency in English

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our newly formed Data Self Service (DSS) department. This function is the first line of support between business stakeholders and the BI department, designed to streamline requests, promote self-service, and accelerate delivery of insights.

As a Data Analyst, you will:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with the assigned function to understand its needs and objectives;
  • Develop an excellent understanding of the tools used by the function, identifying opportunities for insights;
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and assess actual results against targets;

What you’ll bring:

  • Relevant experience with Microsoft Power BI (or other dashboarding tool, such as Tableau) will be considered a plus.

  • High drive, a can-do attitude, proactive and adaptability to changing business demands;
  • Fluency in English.
