Must Have

Job Description
What you can expect to work on:
- If you were part of our team last week, you would have:
- Designed and executed a SQL-based ETL process to migrate decades of public safety data from a legacy system into the Mark43 platform
- Collaborated with our data migration contractors, reviewing technical deliverables and providing guidance to help them succeed
- Met with a customer’s records management team to understand their legacy data structure and translate it to the Mark43 schema
- Dug into a uniquely formatted source database to uncover edge cases and ensure data fidelity
- Worked alongside deployment, engineering, and product teams to iterate on and improve our migration tooling and process
- Balanced project timelines and quality standards while maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
What we expect from you:
We’re looking for a data migration engineer with 2+ years of experience in ETL development or SQL-based data engineering roles. You should have a comprehensive understanding of data migration processes and be comfortable owning projects from discovery through delivery. Your attention to detail and ability to navigate ambiguity will be key to success.

Location:
This role is based in our Manchester, UK office and follows a hybrid work model. Team members are expected to be in the office at least three days per week to foster strong collaboration and a connected team environment.
