Job Description

Nine, Australia's largest locally owned media company, is seeking a dynamic Data Product Manager to drive the next phase of their Customer Data Platform (CDP). In this role, you will partner with the Senior Product Manager to execute critical workstreams on the platform's roadmap, unlocking new capabilities for Commercial, Marketing, and Product teams to create highly personalized customer experiences. Your responsibilities include owning CDP roadmap delivery, ensuring daily health and operational excellence of the CDP, leading requirements discovery with stakeholders, defining business requirements, collaborating with Data Engineering, driving agile delivery as a Product Owner, managing dependencies, and ensuring CDP platform stability, data quality, governance, and security. You will also utilize data from the Data Warehouse and CDP for insights and reporting.
Good To Have:
  • Familiarity with AdTech/MarTech ecosystems (DMPs, CDPs, Ad serving platforms)
  • Demonstrable experience with AEP RTCDP (schema design, data source setup, identity resolution, merge policies)
  • Basic knowledge of Google Cloud Platform data services (GCS, BigQuery, Pub/Sub)
  • Understanding of data governance and privacy regulations (Australian Privacy Principles, GDPR)
Must Have:
  • 2-5 years of experience as Product Manager/Business Analyst focused on data & analytics
  • Hands-on experience with AEP RTCDP configuration and platform operations
  • Deep understanding of agile principles and experience in an agile delivery environment
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into clear product requirements and delivery plans

Job Description

An exciting opportunity for a dynamic and results-driven Product Manager with hands-on expertise in AEP RTCDP configuration and platform operations to drive the next phase of our Customer Data Platform.

In this pivotal role, you'll partner with the Senior Product Manager to own and execute critical workstreams on our platform's roadmap. Your mission will be to unlock powerful new capabilities, empowering our Commercial, Marketing, and Product teams to leverage data for highly personalised and targeted customer experiences. Success will be directly measured by the value and adoption of the features you deliver, driving tangible impact across our business.

What you’ll do:

  • Own and execute the delivery of critical workstreams on the CDP squads roadmap.

  • Ensure the daily health, administration, and operational excellence of the CDP.

  • Lead the requirements discovery and validation with various business stakeholders.

  • Define business requirements (features, epics, user stories) and acceptance criteria.

  • Collaborate with Data Engineering on technical feasibility and solutions.

  • Drive agile delivery as a Product Owner across sprints and planning.

  • Manage dependencies, issues, and risks throughout the product delivery lifecycle.

  • Work closely with the engineering team to ensure CDP platform stability, data quality, governance, and security.

  • Utilise data from the Data Warehouse and CDP for actionable insights and reporting.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring:

  • 2-5 years Product Manager/Business Analyst experience, focused on data & analytics.

  • A degree in IT, Computer Science, Data, or Marketing or related field.

  • Hands-on experience with AEP RTCDP configuration and platform operations is a must.

  • A deep understanding of agile principals and experience working within an agile delivery environment (sprints, stand-ups, retros).

  • The ability to translate complex business needs into clear product requirements and delivery plans.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with AdTech/MarTech ecosystems (e.g  DMPs, CDPs, Ad serving platforms).

  • Demonstrable experience with AEP RTCDP (schema design, data source setup, identity resolution, merge policies).

  • Basic knowledge of Google Cloud Platform data services (GCS, BigQuery, Pub/Sub).

  • Understanding of data governance and privacy regulations (e.g. Australian Privacy Principles, GDPR) with commercial application experience.
