Join our client’s team as a pivotal member, where you'll play a crucial role in enhancing the understanding of player dynamics and game performance. In this role, you’ll conduct advanced statistical analyses and develop predictive models that integrate survey data with game telemetry. You will collaborate closely with game analysts and researchers to explore relationships between player sentiment, experience, engagement, and monetization.
This is an on-site hybrid role based in Los Angeles, CA. Onward Search provides benefits for 40-hour work weeks and weekly paychecks (W2) for the duration of the contract.

Data Scientist Responsibilities:
Conduct exploratory data analysis on both ordinal and continuous data to extract actionable insights.
Develop and test hypotheses regarding the interplay between sentiment and player engagement/monetization.
Build and refine models that connect sentiment data with player telemetry, focusing on longitudinal datasets.
Transform and prepare complex datasets for analysis, addressing challenges like multicollinearity and missing data.
Consult on survey design to enhance data collection and analysis outcomes.
Partner with analysts and researchers to document findings and improve data science products.
Train team members to utilize and maintain data science models and products.
Data Scientist Qualifications:
Advanced degree (Ph.D., M.S., or B.S.) in Machine Learning, AI, Statistics, Math, or a related field, with relevant industry experience.
Proficiency in Python and SQL for large-scale data analysis in distributed environments.
Experience with causal inference methods and modeling longitudinal sentiment data.
Skilled in handling complex survey datasets and familiar with survey methodology and longitudinal study design.
Experience with player-facing survey programs and tools like R, Q, or SPSS (preferred).
Strong communication skills for effectively sharing insights with cross-functional teams (preferred).
