Job Description

As a data scientist, you will analyze complex datasets and build models and products (including forecasting, pattern identification, and trend analysis) using statistical and machine learning techniques to uncover deeper insights that drive business improvements across products, services, processes, and strategic initiatives. This role involves studying various data sources, taking responsibility for analytical tasks within projects, contributing to the development of ML solutions, and serving as a technical reference and mentor to other data scientists while continuously expanding your expertise for greater impact.

  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., GCP).
  • Knowledge of Tableau.
Must Have:
  • Independently perform advanced analytics, including model assessment and improvement.
  • Clearly and compellingly communicate the methodology, assumptions, results, and limitations of complex models and analyses to non-technical audiences.
  • Recommend improvements to data systems based on experience.
  • Continuously optimize and maintain model performance (accuracy, reliability, scalability).
  • Test and implement new analytical techniques with growing independence.
  • Mentor other data scientists and serve as a technical point of contact.
  • Collect and clearly document business requirements for assigned tasks.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics) with a focus on data science or a related area.
  • Solid experience (typically 2-4 years) as a Data Scientist, with a proven track record of applying data science techniques to solve business problems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics) with a focus on data science or a related area.
  • Solid experience (typically 2-4 years) as a Data Scientist, with a proven track record of applying data science techniques to solve business problems.

Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in a wider range of data science tools (e.g., Python).
  • Good understanding and practical application of advanced statistical techniques and various machine learning algorithms.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., GCP) is a plus.
  • Understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Tableau is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
