Job Summary

As a Demand Planning Analyst at Motorola Solutions, you will be crucial in driving business success by leading the monthly S&OP process, developing SKU-level demand plans, and optimizing inventory. You will collaborate with Product Management, Project Management, and NPI teams for new product launches, conduct demand planning reviews, and ensure accurate MRP drives. This role requires expertise in demand forecasting, supply planning, and inventory analysis to minimize stock-outs and excess inventory.

Must Have

  • Lead monthly S&OP process to drive alignment on an unconstrained demand plan.
  • Develop a SKU level demand plan that supports financial objectives.
  • Maintain clear communication with supply planning and procurement teams to optimize inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Project Management and NPI teams on NPI launches.
  • Conduct regular demand planning reviews and provide insightful analysis.
  • Monitor backlog and provide recommendations on options to fulfill customer demand.
  • Be accountable to ensure MRP drive is accurate and in accordance with the plan.
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
  • Minimum 3+ years prior experience in a similar planning role.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, or Supply Chain Management.

Department Overview

Reporting to the Team Lead, Demand Planning, you will play a pivotal role in driving our business success through your expertise in demand forecasting, supply planning, and inventory analysis. You will be responsible for developing and executing demand planning strategies, optimizing inventory levels, and collaborating with external parties and cross-functional teams to ensure the accurate projection of product demand. This position requires a subject matter expert with a proven track record of success in demand planning and a deep understanding of industry best practices.

Job Description

In this role you will:

  • Lead monthly S&OP process to drive alignment between Product Management, Finance and Sales on an unconstrained demand plan
  • Develop a SKU level demand plan that supports financial objectives
  • Maintain clear communication with supply planning and procurement teams to optimize inventory levels, balancing supply with anticipated demand to minimize stock-outs and excess inventory
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Project Management and NPI teams on NPI launches to define key considerations and milestone dates related to Supply Chain to ensure launch date readiness for new product and minimal inventory exposure on phase out product
  • Conduct regular demand planning reviews and provide insightful analysis, identifying risks, opportunities, and potential areas for improvement
  • Monitor backlog and provide recommendations on options to fulfill customer demand
  • Be accountable to ensure MRP drive is accurate and in accordance with the plan
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Proven track record of successfully managing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in utilizing advanced Excel functions is highly desirable
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle preferred)

Basic Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years prior experience in a similar planning role
