In our NIKE Retail Stores, we use special job titles for our positions: a Store Manager is the “Head Coach”, an Assistant Store Manager is the “Assistant Head Coach”, a Department Manager is a “Coach”, a Team Leader is a “Lead” and Sales Associates are “Athletes”.

As a Coach you will:

  • Utilize your expertise in exclusive customer service and product knowledge to create a special Brand Experience for our buyers.
  • Coordinate, coach, and motivate employees in your area and ensure an excellent working atmosphere.
  • Support the management of daily business in your area to achieve sales targets (incl. Digital Services, Visual Merchandising, Sales Floor, Advertising Campaigns).
  • Identify problems and create suitable solutions together with your Senior Store Leadership Team.
  • You identify and improve areas based on customer feedback.
  • Ensure that all NIKE standards and guidelines are adhered to.
  • Be a Brand Ambassador for NIKE initiatives, including training your team.

To be precise, our Store structure consists of the following 3 Coach roles:

COMMERCIAL

  • You lead a team that efficiently receives items, excellently manages inventory, and precisely implements visual presentation standards.
  • You ensure smooth operations in the warehouse and ensure that there are always enough items on the sales floor, that the area is presentable, and that it meets brand standards.
  • You work with the Department Leads who oversee individual areas (goods receipt and visual presentation), while you are responsible for the entire flow of goods in the store.
  • Responsibility for the launch of monthly initiatives.
  • Use our reporting tools to make the best commercial decisions.
  • Accurate inventory management to deliver products ordered via app and internet.

ATHLETE EXPERIENCE

  • Ensure that the team is optimally equipped to guarantee a high-quality Athlete Experience (Purpose).
  • You motivate your team to actively participate in Nike Community Ambassador activities.
  • Work with your Senior Store Leadership Team, being involved in hiring processes and onboarding new employees.
  • You are responsible for the store's scheduling.
  • Work together with the Store Team to implement and maintain a positive NIKE culture.

CONSUMER EXPERIENCE

  • Lead by example to guarantee excellent service on the sales floor and bring the Consumer Journey to life.
  • Provide resources so that the team gains knowledge about the NIKE brand as well as Consumer Service and Digital Services.
  • Complete specific training and pass on knowledge about Athlete Services.
  • Use data and analytics to gain deeper insights and achieve continuous improvements in collaboration with the Senior Store Leadership Team.
