We are seeking a talented individual to join our Claims Solution team at Marsh This role will be based in Mumbai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Manager - Risk Consulting
The Knowledge Services team is an integral part of the future strategy of Claims Solutions and Marsh Advisory. The Claims Solutions team in Mumbai comprises of finance / accounting professionals engaged in supporting Marsh colleagues and clients across the globe with the preparation and settlement of complex insurance claims. The candidate would join the team in delivering high quality forensic accounting work across multiple geographies.
We will count on you for:
Develop a thorough understanding of the Risk Evaluation model and process.
Prepare detailed work-papers and assisting in preparation of confidential reports.
Understand the client’s financial statement and provide financial analysis on the components of financial statement.
Prepare claims for businesses who have incurred losses that could be caused by natural catastrophe.
Collaborating with other teams within Knowledge Services, Mumbai to enhance the current value proposition and pioneer innovative solutions to claim preparation and data management related problems.
Mentor more junior KS colleagues to support achievement of their professional goals.
Reviewing work products prepared by more junior team members to provide Quality Assurance (QA) and actionable feedback.
Partner/Collaborate with the FAS colleagues. Closely liaise with relevant stakeholders through continuous communication and contribute to their success.
Support Marsh Claims Solutions colleagues in regions around the world to quantify, document, and present losses occurring in local geographies.
What you need to have:
Chartered Accountant or completed degree in Master of Business Administration, Finance
4-6 years professional experience in accounting firm (Big 4) or similar consulting
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with all levels of internal and external business partners
Ability to work independently and think critically regarding financial statement analysis
Ability to manage personal and junior colleague time appropriately to deliver high-quality projects
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to preparing error-free analysis
Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
Outstanding stakeholder management skills
Problem solving and critical thinking approach
Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to interact with all levels of internal and external business partners
Project Management Skills - Tight control on quality and timelines
What makes you stand out?
Prior experience handling Business Interruption insurance claims is highly desirable
Advanced knowledge of financial data modelling and loss valuations
VBA Macros and experience in automating tasks
Adaptable to new age data management tools
Flexibility to work in order to provide some overlap hours with International colleagues
Professional working proficiency in English required but additional linguistic skills in European languages (Spanish, French, or German) is a plus
