Design Specialist for Li Ion Battery Application

This role involves the design and development of LV and HV Li Ion Batteries and related applications, including structural feasibility, packaging studies, and product development. The specialist will create 3D models and 2D drawings for sheet metal components, weldments, structural rails, and beam assemblies. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential for optimized energy storage system design, along with providing design support for prototypes, reviews, and supplier discussions. The position requires experience in product qualification according to stationary and automotive industry standards and electrical component selection.

Must Have

Qualifications

Educational qualification:

BE/BTech in Mechanical or related discipline

Experience : 8-12 years

Mandatory/requires Skills :

• Experience of handling LV and HV Li Ion Battery
• Strong experience in Plastics, Sheet metal and Structural design
• Energy storage chassis/structure experience preferred
• CAD proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo
• GD&T, tolerance stack-up
• Basic simulation understanding (structural / thermal)
• Experience in any Engineering Change Management system

Additional Information

We are seeking 8-12 years of experience candidate with strong expertise in Li Ion Battery application, Plastics, sheet metal design, structural beam design for Battery. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in CAD tools and a deep understanding of design for manufacturability, performance, and safety. Ability to work independently on a project.
