Design Validation Engineer

Join Cadence's team to validate and optimize high-speed interface IP solutions for next-generation semiconductor technologies. This role involves designing evaluation boards, performing compliance and interoperability testing for SerDes and DDR IP, and developing automated test scripts. You will collaborate with design engineers to troubleshoot and resolve IP validation issues, ensuring performance and reliability for global customers.

Must Have

• Design and develop evaluation boards for High-Speed SerDes and DDR IP
• Perform compliance and interoperability testing for PCIE, USB, and 10G-KR SerDes IP
• Validate DDR4/LPDDR4X/DDR5/LPDDR5 IP against industry standards
• Develop automated test scripts to streamline validation processes
• Collaborate closely with design engineers to troubleshoot and resolve IP validation issues
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Microelectronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
• 3+ years of experience in hardware design or validation
• Solid understanding of digital and analog circuit fundamentals
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, BERT, and logic analyzers
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or C for automation
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Collaborative mindset

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Microelectronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
• 3+ years of experience in hardware design or validation; SI/PI expertise is a strong plus.
• Solid understanding of digital and analog circuit fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, BERT, and logic analyzers.
