Job Description

As a Development Manager, you will join the Hunt: Showdown team in Frankfurt to support the delivery of one or more sub-teams. Your role involves ensuring alignment with overall goals and milestones, coordinating daily operations, resolving issues, and maintaining efficient workflows. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality results on time and within budget, contributing to the success of the project.
Good To Have:
  • Experience working on live-service or GaaS projects.
  • Previous experience with CryEngine or other AAA game engines.
  • Background in production, design, or programming.
  • Experience coordinating hybrid or distributed teams.
  • Interest in online multiplayer or horror-themed games.
Must Have:
  • Drive execution of delivery plans and day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure sub-team tasks and deliverables align with project schedules.
  • Track sub-team progress, identify and address issues or blockers.
  • Facilitate collaboration and communication within and across teams.
  • Ensure adherence to operational models and established workflows.
  • Communicate regular updates, risks, and progress to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with other Development Managers for dependencies.
  • Identify risks early and escalate significant issues with solutions.
  • Collaborate with QA to maintain quality standards and resolve issues.
  • Support the team in meeting stakeholder expectations.
  • 2+ years experience as Project Manager, Producer, or Development Manager in game development.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Kanban).
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to follow and enforce established processes and workflows.
  • Fluent English skills and willingness to relocate to Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the execution of delivery plans and day-to-day operations as defined by the Senior Development Manager.
  • Ensure sub team tasks and deliverables align with project schedules and milestones.
  • Track sub team progress against tasks and timelines, identifying and addressing issues or blockers.
  • Facilitate collaboration and communication within the sub team and across other project teams.
  • Ensure adherence to the operational model and established workflows.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for workflow or process improvements to the Senior Development Manager.
  • Communicate regular updates, risks, and progress to the Senior Development Manager and relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with other Development Managers to manage dependencies and ensure smooth handoffs.
  • Identify risks early and escalate significant issues to the Senior Development Manager with proposed solutions.
  • Collaborate with QA and other relevant teams to maintain quality standards and resolve issues promptly.
  • Support the team in meeting stakeholder expectations by adhering to quality and delivery requirements.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Producer, or Development Manager in game development.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Kanban).
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues proactively.
  • Ability to follow and enforce established processes and workflows.
  • Passion for high-quality game development and cross-disciplinary teamwork.
  • Fluent English skills and willingness to relocate to Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
