Job Description

McDonald's Global Technology is expanding its team in Mexico City, establishing a hub for innovation and operational support. As a DevOps Engineer Specialist on the Identity and Access Engineering team, you will collaborate with the Senior DevOps of DevSecOps Engineer to shape infrastructure-as-code, streamline deployments, and ensure the team builds secure, observable, and resilient identity and access applications. This role is crucial for evolving and improving McDonald's global identity and access management platform.
Good To Have:
  • Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) concepts, protocols, and technologies (identity provisioning, authentication, authorization, RBAC, SSO, federation).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices (risk management, access controls, secure coding).
Must Have:
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
  • Build automation for AWS Account/Azure Subscription and manage cloud resource platforms.
  • Integrate security tools (SAST, DAST, SCA) into CI/CD lifecycle.
  • Manage secrets securely using Azure Key Vault.
  • Support containerization with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.
  • 2+ years experience as DevOps/DevSecOps Engineer.
  • 1+ years experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Jenkins.
  • 1+ years experience supporting cloud native applications (AKS, Docker, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Event Grid, Service Bus).
  • Experience with Git flow, branching strategies, repository configurations.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates).
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals (C#, .NET, object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms).
  • Test automation with Unit Tests.

Job Description

As a DevOps Engineer Specialist on our Identity and Access Engineering team, you will partner with the Senior DevOps of DevSecOps Engineer which, together, will be responsible for shaping our infrastructure-as-code, streamlining deployments, and ensuring the Engineer Team can build secure, observable, and resilient IA (identity and access) applications that protect critical information and resources. Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
  • Build automation to create and manage AWS Account/Azure Subscription Deploy and manage cloud resource management platform for AWS & Azure
  • Integrate security tools and practices into the CI/CD lifecycle, including SAST, DAST, and SCA (e.g., Snyk).
  • Manage secrets securely using Azure Key Vault and enforce secure coding practices across development teams.
  • Support containerization strategies using Docker and orchestrate deployments using Kubernetes.
  • Contribute to all aspects of the agile development life cycle including design, development, documentation, testing and operations.
  • Fix and resolve technical issues related to the identity and access platform components.
  • Participate in efforts to drive elimination of technical debt and continuous improvement in delivery speed, quality, value, and applied innovation.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional experience as a DevOps or DevSecOps Engineer, with a strong focus on automation and security.
  • 1+ Years of hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines and GitHub Actions, Jenkins.
  • 1+ Years supporting cloud native applications using Azure Kubernetes (AKS), Docker, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Event Grid, and Service Bus.
  • Experience implementing Git flow, branching strategies, repository configurations (policies, security) and automation.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and ARM templates.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
  • Proven knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures and algorithm) with specific focus on C# and .NET.
  • Test automation with Unit Tests for including in pipeline.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across remote teams and a global organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) concepts, protocols, and technologies, including but not limited to identity provisioning, authentication, authorization, RBAC, SSO, and federation.
  • Knowledge with cybersecurity principles and best practices, including risk management, access controls, and secure coding principles.
