Job Details

The role of Business Engagement Manager (BEM) for IT Operations is a technical business-minded information technology professional who partners with various organizations to create, maintain, and execute the IT Operations Roadmap. This role requires experience and expertise in managing people, processes, applications, infrastructure, and IT strategic initiatives.

The IT Operations BEM builds strong, collaborative relationships with executive business stakeholders and IT delivery leaders, to create technology strategies, and build multi-year roadmaps for IT Operations based on demand from IT Application Delivery, Global Information Security, the CTO organization, Product Group Engineering, and various Business Units. Additionally, the candidate must possess expert skills in translating demand into IT Supply by leading the IT project governance processes for Ideation and Elaboration. During Ideation, the BEM will direct Business Engagement functions to create Idea documents, Business Cases, Value Plans, and IT and Business Engagement Plans. During Elaboration, the BEM will act as the IT Product Owner, leading the creation of requirements, and process flows. Furthermore, the candidate must be able to drive value optimization, continuous improvements, and effective organizational change management.

What You'll Do

  • Build trusted relationships within IT, Global Information Security, the CTO organization, and Product Group Engineering - to ensure clear project objectives, collaborative delivery, and shared accountability.
  • Partner with business leadership to plan new joint initiatives, evaluate proposals, and develop creative solutions where high levels of complexity and uncertainty exist.
  • Deliver high-impact executive-level presentations on project, portfolio, and roadmap status.
  • Develop and maintain multi-year Business Request Roadmaps, Capability Heat Maps, and IT Product Roadmaps
  • Drive effective portfolio management including regular operations reviews and steering committees.
  • Maximize value delivered by developing and maintaining IT Product Backlogs, ensuring they remain aligned with customer and stakeholder needs.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred in computer science, project management, engineering, or related project management undergraduate course of study; an advanced degree is preferred.

  • Technical knowledge related to cloud infrastructure, architecture, and best practices.

  • PMP, Networking, and Cybersecurity certifications preferred.

  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of Information Technology and Cybersecurity experience.

  • Experience creating, managing, tracking, and reporting on yearly and multi-year roadmaps.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to deal with ambiguity, and remain effective and positive under pressure.

  • Located in Las Vegas with ability to work flexible hours with stakeholders located across multiple time zones

Salary

Our goal is to pay a market competitive salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges. However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education, skills, work location, and internal pay equity.
