Job Summary
The Director, Infrastructure Engineering will provide strategic and operational leadership for Trek’s global technology infrastructure, encompassing data centers, cloud platforms, networks, servers, storage, databases, and enterprise computing environments. This role involves leading geographically distributed teams in the United States and India, ensuring the delivery of secure, resilient, and scalable infrastructure services to support Trek’s global business operations and innovation goals. Key responsibilities include defining infrastructure roadmaps, driving automation, managing vendor relationships, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Must Have
- Lead and develop high-performing global teams across IT Systems, Cloud, DBA, and Network Engineering.
- Define and execute multi-year infrastructure roadmap with emphasis on modernization and automation.
- Oversee end-to-end design, implementation, and lifecycle management of hybrid infrastructure.
- Drive adoption of automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, and observability practices.
- Ensure reliable network connectivity for all global sites.
- Guide enterprise cloud architecture (Azure, OCI, GCP) for cost, governance, and security.
- Oversee DBA operations for SQL, Oracle, and IBMi DB2 databases.
- Collaborate with Information Security and Compliance teams.
- Maintain disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- 10+ years progressive experience in infrastructure engineering or operations.
- 5+ years senior IT leadership with global team management experience.
- Proven expertise managing hybrid environments (on-prem, cloud, ERP/mainframe).
- Strong technical background in Systems, Virtualization, Cloud Platforms, ERP/IBMi, Networking, Databases.
- Experience with infrastructure automation, IaC (Terraform, Ansible), and monitoring platforms.
- Strong financial management skills, including vendor contracts and budgets.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Good to Have
- Experience in manufacturing, retail, or global supply-chain environments.
- Certifications: Azure Architect, CCNP/CCIE, VMware VCP, ITIL.
- Experience with modern data center and edge computing architectures.

The Director, Infrastructure Engineering provides strategic and operational leadership for Trek’s global technology infrastructure, spanning data centers, cloud platforms, networks, servers, storage, databases, and enterprise computing environments. This role leads a geographically distributed organization, including teams in the United States and India, and is accountable for delivering secure, resilient, and scalable infrastructure services that power Trek’s global business operations.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and develop high-performing teams across IT Systems Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Database Administration, and Network Engineering
- Provide vision, direction, and mentorship to a global team spanning multiple time zones and geographies, including India-based resources.
- Define and execute the multi-year infrastructure roadmap, emphasizing modernization, automation, and infrastructure as code.
- Partner with IT, Digital, and business leaders to ensure infrastructure capabilities support Trek’s growth, agility, and innovation goals.
- Manage vendor relationships, service providers, and outsourcing partners, ensuring value alignment and delivery excellence.
- Develop and track KPIs and SLAs for infrastructure reliability, performance, cost, and sustainability.
Engineering & Operations
- Oversee end-to-end design, implementation, and lifecycle management of Trek’s hybrid infrastructure including our data centers and public clouds.
- Drive adoption of automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, and observability practices across all infrastructure domains.
- Ensure reliable and performant network connectivity for all global sites, including manufacturing, distribution, and retail.
- Guide enterprise cloud architecture (Azure, OCI, and GCP) and optimize cost, governance, and security.
- Oversee DBA operations for SQL, Oracle, and IBMi DB2 databases.
- Support ITIL-aligned processes for change, incident, and problem management.
Global Coverage & Collaboration
- Build a unified global infrastructure engineering organization with clear accountability, cross-regional collaboration, and follow-the-sun support.
- Align operational coverage and resource allocation to global business needs and service-level expectations.
Security, Compliance & Resilience
- Collaborate with Information Security and Compliance teams to ensure secure and auditable infrastructure operations.
- Maintain disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity capabilities for all infrastructure domains, including ERP and cloud systems.
- Ensure all infrastructure components meet or exceed performance, redundancy, and regulatory standards.
People & Culture
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning across global teams.
- Coach and develop technical managers and engineers; drive succession planning and career development.
- Promote diversity and inclusion while nurturing Trek’s collaborative culture across all regions.
Skills & Requirements

- Networking: SD-WAN, routing, switching, firewalls, and global connectivity.
- Databases: SQL, Oracle, DB2
- Experience with infrastructure automation, IaC (Terraform, Ansible), and monitoring platforms.
- Strong financial management skills; proven success managing global vendor contracts and budgets.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels.
