The Role:

Moonbug Entertainment is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director, Music Marketing & Commercial Partnerships to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Music, and working closely with the UK based music team, you will be instrumental to our growth strategy, and be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, fostering relationships, and driving revenue growth for Moonbug Music.

This person will work onsite at our Los Angeles location.

Responsibilities:

  • Play an integral role in the continued growth of Moonbug music’s consumption & revenue by helping to create and drive demand for our music products.  
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with counterparts at all music & social platforms (Spotify, Apple, Amazon, Meta etc).
  • Responsible for pitching partners & platforms to ensure all content receives maximum promotion and exposure.
  • Manage US day to day partnership with label management & marketing counterparts at Universal Music Group, Moonbug’s global distributor.
  • Ideate, plan, and execute music marketing campaigns in partnership with internal teams, 3rd party platforms, and agency partners.
  • Liaise with all internal teams to ensure that music initiatives are integrated into all brand activations and marketing campaigns.
  • Track, measure, and analyze all music marketing & promotion campaigns.  Provide recap reports and utilize learnings to improve future campaigns.
  • Responsible for the development, execution and promotion of owned & operated playlists and curator profiles.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including content, design, marketing, and legal, to ensure seamless execution of label-related marketing campaigns and sales strategies..
  • Utilize various data streams to inform and proactively seek out opportunities to grow revenue, audience, and consumption.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Music Business, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in label sales, commercial partnerships, or a related role within the music industry (prior Children’s Music experience a plus but not required)
  • Demonstrated success in cultivating and maintaining positive relationships with partners.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret performance metrics, identify trends, and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive and dynamic work environment.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to drive results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
