Job Description

The Director, Real Estate Business Partner role at Salesforce is a key position within the Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) organization. The Director will act as a primary liaison, ensuring REWS effectively addresses business needs in workplace solutions, educates leaders on REWS operations, and integrates across various internal partners to provide comprehensive solutions for cross-functional initiatives.

  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to synthesize information from various sources and present effectively.
  • Demonstrated bias to thoughtful action.
  • Experience working in a large, complex organization.

About the Role:

The Business Partner - Business Engagement role within our Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) organization is a key position focused on building bridges and fostering deep understanding between REWS and our diverse business units. You will work with designated business leaders, ensuring that REWS has a deep understanding to their unique operational needs, strategic priorities, and workplace requirements. You will also represent REWS to educate leaders and help them better understand how the workplace is serving their teams and how REWS operates. This role demands exceptional relationship-building skills and the ability to effectively translate business insights into actionable strategies for our real estate and workplace environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between REWS and assigned business units, fostering open communication and collaboration.
  • Actively engage with business leaders to understand their organizational structure, key initiatives, and future plans.
  • Develop a strong internal network within both REWS and the business units.
  • Facilitate the flow of information and feedback between REWS teams and business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with REWS specialists (e.g., space planners, workplace services managers, workplace research and innovation, design and delivery team etc) to ensure business needs are effectively addressed in workplace solutions.
  • Integrate across partners, Employee Success, BT, and other functions to provide comprehensive solutions for cross-functional initiatives
  • Proactively identify and communicate business unit requirements to inform REWS strategy and service delivery.
  • Present REWS plans and initiatives to business stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment.
  • Work closely with other REWS Business Partners to share best practices and ensure a consistent approach.
  • Contribute to the development of internal communication strategies to enhance understanding of REWS services and value.
  • Act as an advocate for the business units within the REWS organization.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the Values & Behaviors for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
  • 10 + years of experience in business partnering, client management, or internal relationship management.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across different organizational levels.
  • Excellent active listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to synthesize information from various sources and present it effectively.
  • Demonstrated bias to thoughtful action
  • Experience working in a large, complex organization.
  • An understanding of real estate and workplace services is beneficial.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $193,800 to $281,100.

For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $177,600 to $257,600.
