Ecosystem Presales Engineering Summer Intern 2026

As an Ecosystem Presales Engineering Summer Intern, you will partner with customers and the sales team to deliver world-class, leading-edge, end-to-end solutions. You will be the overall owner of the solution's technical design, ensuring customer needs are met. Responsibilities include customer requirements discovery, technology strategy development, system architecture design, proposal development, and technical presentations for mission-critical communications technologies like mobile voice/data networks and software applications.

Must Have

• Partner closely with customers and the sales team
• Deliver customer-driven, world-class, leading-edge, end-to-end solutions
• Own the solution's technical design, ensuring customer needs are met
• Perform customer requirements discovery
• Develop technology strategy
• Design end-to-end system architecture
• Develop proposals
• Conduct internal and external technical presentations
• Perform equipment and software solution demos, including configuration and testing
• Pursue a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a graduation date during or after December 2026
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely

• General knowledge of wireless communications fundamentals and voice/data architectures (Public and private, e.g. APCO P25, LTE, 802.11, 4G/5G)

A Sales Systems Engineer partners closely with customers and the sales team, delivering customer-driven, world-class, leading-edge, end-to-end solutions that rise to the communications and situational awareness challenges that our customers face. Working within a team of sales, service, engineering, and technical support resources, the Sales Systems Engineer Intern is the overall owner of the solution's technical design, ensuring we meet our customers’ needs. As an engineering intern, you will work within the engineering team to deliver customer-driven, world-class, leading-edge, end-to-end solutions that rise to the challenges that our customers face.

The team concentrates on the following mission-critical communications technologies at various levels of complexity:

• Motorola's Ecosystem of Products and Services
• Public safety grade mobile voice and data networks
• Advanced mobile devices
• Public safety mobile broadband networks and devices
• Software applications for mission-critical intelligence

The typical scope of responsibilities may include the following:

• Customer requirements discovery
• Technology strategy development
• End-to-end system architecture design
• Proposal development
• Internal and external technical presentations
• Equipment and software solution demos, including configuration and testing

The ideal candidate has the following skills and capabilities:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• General knowledge of IT network and computer architecture
• General knowledge of wireless communications fundamentals and voice/data architectures both Public and private (e.g. APCO P25, LTE, 802.11, 4G/5G) highly desirable
• A positive attitude with a can-do mentality that enables you to be creative, resourceful and deliver results
• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences
