Motorola Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Software Test Development Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of mission-critical communication products. The role involves analyzing product specifications, developing and executing test cases, identifying and verifying defects, and contributing to the safety and effectiveness of public safety professionals. The engineer will work hands-on with cutting-edge radio communication devices, gaining a deep understanding of their functionality and performance, and will be passionate about quality and problem-solving.

Must Have

• Thoroughly understand product requirements and translate them into comprehensive test cases.
• Develop and execute test cases to verify compliance with product specifications and industry standards.
• Analyze test results, meticulously document defects, and track issues through resolution.
• Set up and maintain test environments, ensuring proper configuration and stability for accurate test execution.
• Define and implement test automation processes and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing efforts, including developing test scripts and automation frameworks.
• Collaborate effectively with development, product management, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and alignment on quality goals.
• Provide clear and concise technical know-how, documentation, and training to test and other business functions.
• Perform necessary analysis required for the project, identifying and solving complex technical problems.
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with various coding languages (e.g., C, C++, Python).
• Working knowledge of test management and defect tracking software (e.g., Jira, ALM).
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to dissect complex system architectures.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across different design centers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to creatively resolve execution failures.
• Willingness to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
