We are seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to join a fun, highly motivated cross-functional team. This role involves working on our Next-Generation Platform, focusing on continuous value delivery, sustainable work practices, and a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will contribute to developing high-quality, secure, and scalable products.
Must Have
- Work closely with Development, Test, Product, UX, and others to ensure quality features are delivered to customers.
- Establish and manage an effective whole team test approach.
- Work with the team to ensure that quality is considered from the earliest stages of projects.
- Coach the team to develop their testing skills and overall quality approach and drive continuous quality culture improvements.
- Ensure the team implements Automation at the appropriate test levels.
- Ensure the team considers all relevant quality characteristics such as Security, Scalability, and Observability.
- Facilitate quality-focused team sessions such as risk workshops and bug bashes.
- Understand the platform and how customers use it.
- 7+ years' experience in a Software testing/Quality role working with web technologies/SaaS.
- Proficient testing in an Agile environment.
- Experienced in testing complex systems and comfortable with technical conversations.
- Proficiency in at least one language (e.g. python, ruby, java).
Good to Have
- Effective communication (written and oral) and teamwork behaviour within a diverse team environment.
- Building good working relationships with team members and other teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience in applying different techniques, tools and approaches based on context.
- Proficient in Exploratory Testing.
- History of continually learning and adapting to the latest trends and technology.
- Test community involvement e.g. attending conferences/meetups, blogging, contributing to opensource projects, etc.
- Experience testing in the cloud (AWS).
- "Non-functional" Specialities such as performance testing.
- Comfortable with Linux commands and database queries.
- Experience as a Quality Coach would be of benefit for this role.
- Experience creating automation frameworks.

The successful candidate will join one of our backend teams who are currently building our Next-Generation Platform using the latest technology. Writing high quality, secure and scalable code, we follow agile culture to develop exciting products that meet our clients’ current & future needs. The Person Foremost you are passionate about quality, are naturally curious, and have a habit of asking insightful questions. You will be engaging in both manual and automated testing, and the role will involve testing both front-end and back-end services. You are a real team player who cares about the customer and business outcomes. You enjoy working closely with teammates to find and fix important problems. You are comfortable teaching others about testing, working with their teammates to build quality into the platform and prioritise prevention over detection You have invested in your own self-growth. You will have strong testing and critical thinking skills, the ability to analyse risk, a proactive approach, and a proven record of driving continuous improvement in teams. Candidate Expertise Required: * 7+ years' experience in a Software testing/Quality role working with web technologies/SaaS. * Proficient testing in an Agile environment. * Experience in establishing and managing an effective whole team test approach. * Experienced in testing complex systems and comfortable with technical conversations. * Proficiency in at least one language (e.g. python, ruby, java). * Preferably experienced with test automation at both the UI and API. Experience creating automation frameworks is advantageous.
