As an Embedded Entrepreneur, you will drive women's empowerment, sustainability, and green innovation. You will create and manage eco-friendly ventures that generate livelihoods for women and address environmental issues. This role involves transforming local knowledge and natural resources into marketable, climate-resilient businesses, fostering economic and environmental transformation through female-led green initiatives.
Must Have
- Create female-led green businesses
- Develop green women-led business models
- Spread circular economy practices
- Develop ecosystem for women-led green economy programs
- Provide capacity building and mentorship to women
- Facilitate market access and partnerships for women entrepreneurs
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Environmental Studies, Social Innovation, or Development Studies
- 4-8 years of experience in social entrepreneurship, green economy, sustainability, or innovation projects
- Good understanding of climate resistant businesses, circular economy, and green technologies
- Successful track record in designing, scaling, and mentoring women-led businesses
- Good English and local language communication, facilitation, and engagement skills
- Kannada Language is compulsory

About the Role
As an Embedded Entrepreneur, you will be operating in the crossroads of women's empowerment, sustainability, and green innovation. As a part of your work, you will also create and undertake sustainable and eco-friendly ventures, which will not only generate livelihood to women, but also help solve environmental issues. You will turn the local knowledge and natural resources into marketable, climate resilient businesses that will bring about economic and environmental transformation.
Responsibilities
- Create Female-led Green Business: Recognize, create and execute sustainable business models regarding energy, eco-friendly products, organic agriculture and waste management.
- Develop Green Women-led business: Discover, make and realize sustainable business models in other sectors such as renewable energy, green products, organic agriculture and waste recycling.
- Spread Circular Economy Practices: Support women entrepreneurs to embrace resource-efficient activities, recycling, and green processes of production.
- Ecosystem Development: Work with the government initiatives, corporates, and startups to empower women-led green economy programmes.
- Capacity Building and Mentorship: Train Women in green business, sustainability, and financial literacy and how to utilize digital media to access the market.
- Market Access & Partnerships: Educate women entrepreneurs about green business to buyers, investors, and sustainability certification organizations and eco-markets.
Qualifications & Experience
- Any Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Environmental Studies, Social Innovation, or Development Studies.
- 4-8 years of experience in social entrepreneurship, green economy projects, sustainability projects, or any innovation projects.
- Good understanding of climate resistant businesses, circular economy and green technologies.
- Successful track record in designing, scaling and mentoring women-led businesses.
- Good English and local language communication skills, facilitation and engagement skills.
- Feels at ease in cross-cultural and dynamic activities
