MES Shopfloor / Support Engineer – Monterrey, México

Job Description

We are looking for a MES Shopfloor / Field Support Engineer to work onsite at our customer’s manufacturing plant in Monterrey, Mexico. The candidate will provide hardware and software support in production areas using the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to ensure business continuity and minimize downtime due to IT issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite hardware and software support for MES workstations on the production floor.
• Maintain and troubleshoot desktops, thermal printers (Zebra, SATO), barcode printers, RF guns, scanners (Motorola, Intermec), Cognex cameras, and label applicators.
• Support MES configurations, installations, and testing for new lines and strategic projects.
• Ensure operational continuity by providing 24/7 coverage through a rotating shift schedule.
• Execute annual preventive maintenance and support physical inventory audits.
• Provide training to production line operators and end users.
• Participate in weekend or off-hour projects as required.

Requirements

• Technical degree in IT, Electronics, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing IT or MES shopfloor support.
• Familiarity with Windows 10, Office 365, and basic SQL queries.
• Experience with OPC systems and PLC or Vision Camera (Cognex) integration is desirable.
• English level: Intermediate (70%+).
• Availability for rotating shifts (day/afternoon/night) and weekends when required.
• Must have a sense of urgency, customer focus, and teamwork.
• Own car or reliable transportation preferred.
