Job Description

This role as an Engineering Delivery Manager (EDM) involves leading global engineering projects from design to validation/qualification, ensuring compliance with requirements, deadlines, and budget. The EDM will interface with business segments and technical teams, define development strategies, and manage technical, cost, and schedule aspects of offers. The position requires a Master's degree in system engineering and experience in weapon/aeronautical system development, qualification testing, transversal management, and secure system architecture. The ideal candidate is results-oriented, capable of leading multidisciplinary teams, and adept at technical analysis and problem-solving.

Must Have:
  • Lead global engineering projects from design to validation/qualification and master the delivery process.
  • Interface between Business Segment stakeholders, technical development and industrialisation teams, reporting to Project Manager and Product Design Authority.
  • Participate in work package preparation, including client needs analysis, estimation, description of packages and deliverables, resource planning, and associated risks/opportunities.
  • Provide support to the IVVQ manager during system validation and qualification phases, ensuring knowledge management and sustainability for products.
  • Define, formalize, and lead project development strategy.
  • Ensure technical, cost, schedule, and performance responsibility for offers, guaranteeing compliance with client requirements.
  • Manage the production of engineering deliverables and provide regular technical progress summaries, in conjunction with Work Package Managers.
  • Be responsible for applying the established development process for the project, managing technical facts, schedule and financial risks, as well as problem resolution throughout assigned tasks.
  • Ensure delivery of a solution compliant with requirements, within defined deadlines and budget.
  • Lead the progress of a multidisciplinary team and be able to justify and defend test and performance results of the solution.
  • Analyze, challenge, and share technical solutions in electronics, software, mechanics, and pyrotechnics.
  • Master's degree (BAC+5) in engineering with a specialization in system engineering.
  • Experience in system lot management/piloting and development of weapon/aeronautical systems.
  • Field experience with system or subsystem qualification test monitoring.
  • Experience in transversal management in co-engineering with different stakeholders.
  • Experience in distributed architecture of secure systems.

Your daily life

Within the Vehicles and Tactical Systems activity, the site is specialized in the production of terrestrial and airborne weapon systems (mortars, ammunition, rockets, etc.), force protection systems, and zone control. With its 450 employees, including engineers, technicians, and specialized workers, the site ensures research and development, production, testing, as well as all "support" functions necessary for the design of high-performance systems essential for the success of operational missions. It has formed, with the German defense group DIEHL, a Joint-Venture "JUNGHANS T2M" which has 165 employees, allowing the two companies to combine their expertise in electronics and precision mechanics and thus become one of the world leaders in the field of ammunition fuses. This Joint-Venture is also present on the site.

  • Lead a global project including engineering activities (from design to validation/qualification) and master the delivery process;
  • Ensure the interface between Business Segment stakeholders, technical development and industrialization teams, and functionally report to the Project Manager and Product Design Authority;
  • Participate in the preparation of work packages including client needs analysis, estimation and description of packages and deliverables, planning related to resource availability, and associated risks/opportunities;
  • Provide support to the IVVQ manager during system validation and qualification phases, while ensuring knowledge management and sustainability for our products;
  • As an EDM (Engineering Delivery Manager), define, formalize, and lead the project development strategy;
  • Ensure technical, cost, schedule, and performance responsibility for offers, while guaranteeing their compliance with client requirements;
  • Manage the production of engineering deliverables and provide a regular summary of technical progress, in conjunction with Work Package Managers;
  • Be responsible for applying the established development process for the project, managing technical facts, schedule and financial risks, as well as problem resolution throughout assigned tasks.
