Job Summary

The Engineering Efficiency Support Manager will reinforce support for Jira, deploy best practices in configuration management, and assist with process implementation and evolution for Identity and Biometric Solution engineering teams at Thales. This role involves improving team efficiency on Jira, enforcing configuration management for various components, supporting Agile transitions, and collecting R&D KPIs for reporting and improvement tracking.

Must Have

Identity and Biometric Solution engineering teams are developing and delivering solutions in three main domain (Civil Identity, Border and travel, Criminal and biometric). Part of this organization, the Engineering Efficiency team is supporting all engineering teams (R&Ds and delivery center) on processes and tools and practices (Waterfall, Scrum, Confluence, Jira, …) as well as reporting engineering KPIs.

This position of Engineering Efficiency Support Manager will focus on reinforcing our support on Jira, deploying best practices on Configuration management, and support process implementation and evolution.

A day in life of Engineering Efficiency Support Manager:

  • You will be in charge to support teams on Jira and help them to improve their efficiency on this tool
  • You will be in charge to enforce best practices on configuration management for Solutions, Software and Hardware components and perform regular audits to identify and follow improvement plans
  • You will be in charge to support teams on process implementation and evolution as well as assisting teams that will transition to Agile process.
  • You will collect R&D KPIs (ODT, product release efficiency, Defects, …) for global reporting and improvement plan follow up.

Requirements:

  • Very good knowledge of Jira tools and feature to support teams
  • Knowledge and Experience in configuration management practices especially on Software
  • Good knowledge and experience on Agile Process tailoring and capacity to support teams on executions
  • Experience on Agile process (or equivalent) implementation
  • Agile development or devops experience
  • You have good communication skills
  • You have capacity to understand others position and propose solutions
  • You are proactive and fosters continuous improvements
  • Good English level is mandatory to interface teams WW
