You will be working alongside international colleagues across the US, London, and India. We strongly emphasise cross-functional working through partnering directly with Product, Data, Design, UX and Delivery.

About The Role:

Condé Nast is looking for a seasoned hands-on Software development Leader to join and help us build the next generation of our digital products. You will Lead Software Development for Backend service managing millions of E-commerce Product data updates in a day. You will also work across cross-functional teams to define Contracts, Architectural and Design frameworks that will help scale business. These teams’ focus spans many types of products essential to both editors and subscribers. Your work will drive the future of Condé Nast’s digital strategy in today’s publishing market and reach our millions of readers around the world.

About Responsibilities:

● Lead and Influence the team of software developers to deliver quality Products.

● Guide and Mentor team for career progression and Continuous skill Building.

● Hire and Develop ‘A’ Team for Software Product Development.

● Work with Stakeholders and Product Teams to deliver and define a roadmap.

● Deliver a consistent and reliable Backend service.

● Define and Drive Implementable, resilient Software Delivery and Development Process.

About you - Essential skills:

● You have a BE / BTech or equivalent experience

● 12 + years of experience developing Microservices, Nodejs/Java/Golang/Python.

● Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases at scale of millions of records.

● Exposure to Spark, in either of the Stack PySpark, Scala, Java.

● Familiarity and experience with Rest APIs

● Experience with Online Commerce, managing data at Scale

● Experience in building scalable services/systems,

● Experience in caching and searching solutions

● Experience in Code profiling, Performance Tuning

● Experience Managing Full Stack teams, with Reactjs for Front-end

● Eager to learn about new technologies and implement these ideas in a production environment.

● Business proficiency in spoken and written English

● You will be working with a global team and need to be accommodative of different time-zones as required.

● Experience working with, designing, and deploying production-grade Services, in Public Cloud like AWS/Azure and optimising the cost.
