Seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Entitlements & Offerings team within Nine's Consumer Platform. This role is crucial for Nine's consumer revenue strategy, focusing on platforms that define customer access and purchase options across all digital products. The manager will drive technical strategy, mentor engineers, and deliver robust, scalable solutions impacting millions of customers and the business directly.
Must Have:

  • Act as an enabler for your team, removing roadblocks and ensuring they have the resources needed to succeed.
  • Lead the team in designing, building, and maintaining our core subscription and billing services.
  • In partnership with Product Managers and designers, translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Drive the technical roadmap for the Entitlements & Offerings team, ensuring alignment with the broader Consumer Platform vision.
  • Own the technical architecture and delivery for core capabilities: Offer Management, Pricing Management, Market Configuration, Feature Management, and Bundle Management.
  • Oversee project delivery, ensuring projects are on time, on budget, and of high quality.
  • Champion engineering best practices, including agile methodologies and DevOps principles.
  • Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal partners across the business.
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing a team of software engineers.
  • A strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development, ideally with exposure to subscription systems.
  • Proven experience in building and running high-availability, scalable, consumer-facing digital products.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A passion for people management and a desire to build a positive and supportive team culture.
  • A strong understanding of agile development methodologies.
  • Right to lawfully work and live in Australia.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Entitlements & Offerings team within the Consumer Platform's Commerce portfolio. This team is central to Nine's consumer revenue strategy, responsible for the platforms that define what a customer has access to and what they can purchase across all Nine digital products.
