Job Summary
Nine is Australia’s largest locally owned media company, offering unique experiences and opportunities across its trusted television, radio, digital, and publishing brands. This Sales Executive role involves creating targeted advertising schedules for audio channels, growing market share and revenue, negotiating trading discounts, facilitating sponsorships, and acting as a key agency contact. The successful candidate will manage concurrent campaigns, problem-solve, and mentor an Account Executive, contributing to Nine's significant impact on Australian life.
Must Have
- Create targeted advertising schedules across all audio channels, based on briefs received from advertising agencies
- Grow market share and revenue across your client base
- Understand the market trading conditions and negotiate trading discounts in conjunction with the Group Business Manager
- Facilitate the sale of program sponsorships, sports sponsorships, and spot packages
- Act as the day-to-day contact with key agency contacts
- Accommodate and prioritise a number of concurrent advertising campaigns
- Problem-solve within the context of the job
- Lead, manage, and mentor an Account Executive
- A thorough understanding of media systems and measurement metrics
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and account management skills
- Proven experience in sales, client-side marketing, or a media agency environment is essential
- An appreciation of the market trading conditions and ability to negotiate trading discounts on casual business in conjunction with the Group Business Manager
- Highly organised, with exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Exceptional presentation skills, with the ability to create and deliver presentations to varying group sizes

Qualifications
