Pedestrian Group, Nine’s youth-focused brand, connects with millions of young Australians through diverse content in culture, tech, gaming, fashion, and more. By joining us you will work with and learn from the brightest minds to create ground breaking content that pushes boundaries and enables young Aussies to feel seen, informed, entertained and understood.
Your job will be to help create spicy entertainment content for PEDESTRIANTV. You’ll be a pop culture obsessive who is plugged into everything entertainment: reality TV, local and international celebrity news, and TikTok creator drama. You ravenously devour everything trending on Netflix, are on a first name basis with Deuxmoi (just kidding… unless?), and are anxiously awaiting Taylor Swift’s wedding.
Crucially, this role will largely involve writing entertainment stories for our website on a daily basis, executing the PEDESTRIAN.TV tone while letting your own voice shine through. Excellent writing skills are a must.
You’ll be asked to confidently interview A-list celebs both on and off camera, so if appearing on camera and yapping to Margot Robbie gives you night sweats, this might not be the job for you. (And if it’s your first time, then don’t worry - we’ll show you how it’s done.)
Day to day you will:
The ideal candidate will be someone able to work independently, knows how to source fact from fiction, and can hit the ground running in our fast-paced yet supportive and collaborative newsroom.
The even more ideal candidate will be someone who can sniff out original stories, chase down scoops, and has an entertainment industry contact list fit to burst.
