The Epic Application Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Epic EHR systems. This role involves close collaboration with healthcare providers, IT staff, and stakeholders to ensure a customer-centric experience. The analyst acts as a communication hub, coordinating IT activities based on user requirements, and is involved in designing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining applications. They also provide support during go-live events and lead small to medium-sized projects.

Must Have

  • Understand user workflows, core functions, and processes of supported business area
  • Coordinate with clinical end users and apply knowledge of user workflow to assist users in defining requirements
  • Design, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain programs/applications
  • Apply detailed knowledge of system functionality to implement new applications and modules
  • Document business requirements, current and future state workflows, and any custom builds
  • Coordinate and participate in all testing phases of associated applications
  • Research and resolve issues with external and internal resources
  • Provide support during go-live events, including off-hours
  • Lead small and medium-sized projects with minimal managerial oversight
  • Develop key project management tools
  • Responsible for ongoing on-call duties for incidents outside of business hours
  • Participate in cross-training for personal development and secondary coverage
  • Associate degree or 4 years in healthcare or supporting technology systems
  • Epic certified upon hire or within six months of hire
  • 2 years of experience in healthcare or one year of experience supporting technology systems

  • Experience in healthcare, specifically areas in inpatient, ancillary, ambulatory or revenue cycle

Kforce has a client in Rockledge, FL that is seeking an Epic Application Analyst - Prelude/Cadence. Summary: The Epic Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Epic EHR (electronic health records) systems within the organization. To do this, the Analyst works closely with healthcare providers, IT staff, and other business stakeholders by providing a customercentric experience. Also acting as a communication hub, this position coordinates the information technology activities for their assigned areas based on user requirements. Responsibilities:

  • Understand user workflows, core functions, and processes of the supported business area which may include inpatient, ancillary, ambulatory, or revenue cycle
  • Coordinate with clinical end users and apply knowledge of user workflow to assist users in defining requirements
  • Designs, configures, tests, troubleshoots and maintains programs/applications
  • Apply detailed knowledge of system functionality to implement new applications and modules
  • Document business requirements, current and future state workflows, and any custom builds as appropriate
  • Coordinate and participate in all testing phases of associated applications during implementations and upgrades
  • Research and resolve issues with external and internal resources as needed
  • Provide support during go-live events, including during standard off-hours support times
  • Lead small and medium-sized projects with minimal managerial oversight
  • Develop key project management tools, including project plans, issues logs, testing plans, and go-live events
  • Responsible for ongoing on-call duties for incidents outside of business hours
  • Participate in cross-training for personal development and to ensure adequate secondary coverage on all applications

Requirements

  • Associate degree required; In lieu of degree, 4 years in healthcare or supporting technology systems
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred
  • Certification: Epic certified upon hire or within six months of hire
  • 2 years of experience in healthcare or one year of experience supporting technology systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Strong communication skills and professional presence
  • Ability to maintain composure in stressful office environment
  • Experience in healthcare, specifically areas in inpatient, ancillary, ambulatory or revenue cycle preferred

Physical requirements:

  • Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, stooping
  • Long periods of computer time or at workstation
  • Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance
  • May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to moderate noise
  • Communicating with others to exchange information
  • Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks
  • Workspace may vary from open to confined; on site or remote
  • May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
